That's a two way street big boy. Colerain never ducks anyone. We will play anyone, anywhere, anytime. The date probably became available because our GCL counterparts ran away from Trinity and our NKY game with Ryle wasn't renewed because they didn't feel like taking an annual beating anymore. Either way, we replaced over half our team this year and you have a 4-Star QB. It surprises that Trinity's "power run" ever ends? I mean, don't they reload every year? Is this a rebuild season for the Rocks? -CardinalsFan

First off, Colerain NEVER gets their "lunch handed to them"...just doesn't happen. We lose games almost every year, but they are always close and could have gone either way. Secondly, long way to go before a state title is "lost" by the Cardinals this year. And even if we don't bring home the ultimate prize, losing in Division I in Ohio is not nearly as upsetting for a school like Colerain as it would be an utter embarrassment for a school like Trinity to lose in KY. -CardinalsFan

CovCath is never going to win this game and all it is going to do is beat the kids up physically and emotionally. Very entertaing game to watch. Trinity acquitted themselves well. It was obvious to anyone with eyes who the better team was one quarter in. Trinity was on the verge of stealing one but just couldn't hold on. Best wishes on anspeedy recovery fornthe T QB. If he is healthy and hitting on all cylinders come 3 weeks from now, I am not confident in my Cardinals escaping with a victory. Good luck the rest of the season Shamrock fans. -CardinalsFan

Anything to get this thread back to the top as Trinity is laying waaaayy to low in the bushes. Yes. When CS pulled a scholarship that was offered to Colerain DB Chris Dukes very late in the process. It was such an underhanded and screwed up situation that Colerain HC Tom Bolden has basically banned Louisville from recruiting at Colerain. If a kid wants to go there, obviously that's his choice but he will NOT visit with UofL coaches on Colerain's Campus. Anyway, back on topic. Any news of interest from the Rockheads? -CardinalsFan

The best of the best local/regional high schools have been associated with this event over the past 15 years and it only seems appropriate that a program like Highlands be involved as well. Sycamore has the single best player that Ryle will see all year in QB Greg Simpson. He almost single-handedly brought Sycamore back from a 28-7 deficit against Colerain in week 5 last year. Sycamore was 9-1 (only loss was to Colerain) and against the Cards, Simpson was 5/11 for 94 yards, 1 int. He rushed 29 for 187 yards and 3 TD's. Needless to say, he is going to be the front-runner for our conference's Player of the Year. Good luck...with that! -CardinalsFan
