Wow not one post yet. :D

It's hard to show improvement on 13-1 and a State Championship. Maintain and the Rocks bring home #23. Pure and simple! I suppose finishing in the top ten in the "national polls" would be an improvement. :thumb:

That was my first thought. The standard script used in these threads don't apply to all programs. :lol2:

It'd be hard to see T improving this year, or for awhile actually. This last couple of years were about as good as we've seen in KY by a single team. It will be interesting to see if X can close the gap these next two years.

Trinity's schedule will tell the coaches what they need to improve on. It should be a different kind of challenge for the staff. I have confidence that Beatty et al. will figure something out. I am hopeful that the lines will be good.

Do any of the Rock faithful see a potential "slow" start to the season, kind of like '03, then make the changes necessary to win 6A?

I'd say yes, we all do. Given our schedule, I think it's unlikely we'll come out of the gate in end-of-season form. BUT...I absolutely feel that people (non-Rock peeps) are maybe overlooking the talent that Trinity still has on the team. As has been mentioned before, the biggest questions are the O and D line. That's what will take the longest to fully form.

That would not surprise me one bit.

I don't think many (outside of the X faithful) doubt that T will again win 6A, I just don't think there's any way they can be better in the next couple of years than they have been in the last two. It would be nice to see them come back to earth again so the rest of us don't spend the playoffs ignoring 6A.

Is Reggie the projected starting QB or will he stay at WR?

Reggie is the starting QB.

I think it's a very real possibility that Trinity enters the X game winless and X enters it undefeated and we all know what happened the last time that occurred.

Of course X does have a murders row early but that's fodder for another thread.

With the change in Trinity's personnel between last year and this year, will there be a difference in Trinity's offensive and defensive philosophy or schemes?

I will bet there is no fundamental change. But, this QB will excercise the option of running more often than recent QBs because he has this ability. He is rated as a three star athlete by Rivals, not QB. He can throw the ball quite well.
