I saw him throwing this morning, big time arm. Stretching the field will not be a problem.

Also heard that Cody Swabek was named skill player MVP at West Virginia's camp last week. Him and Reggie are going to be a tough combination to stop

T-Cat, I think that is a great question that I have no answer to. I wish the young man the best but I do not like the trend.. ala Stoops offering to a 7th grader. Not smart IMO.

 

 

It's not like he hasn't been playing behind one of the top QBs in the state the last 2 years and Trinity still had to find a way to get Reggie on the field. I've heard nothing but good things about Reggie the QB the last two years so obviously UL has done plenty of research and put a lot of thought into making an offer to Reggie the QB even though he hasn't started a varsity game for Trinity. There are some people who have had plenty of varsity experience at QB that have gotten QB offers and yet they were moved to other positions when they got to college.

Kids having an injury and getting their scholarship pulled would be a program issue based on the coaches and their philosophies about it. That could happen to any kid regardless of age, rank, number of varsity games played, whatever so I don't see how that applies. I can't speak for the 7th grader, but I'm guessing Reg is around 6'2" ish 200 pounds running a 4.44 college coaches would take that everyday of the week.

There was a kid in cinci that I guess had his scholly pulled from him once he got injured. My friend that went to Kings told me about it a while back. I don't how too much about the situation I'm sure CF could tell us more....

Yes. When CS pulled a scholarship that was offered to Colerain DB Chris Dukes very late in the process. It was such an underhanded and screwed up situation that Colerain HC Tom Bolden has basically banned Louisville from recruiting at Colerain. If a kid wants to go there, obviously that's his choice but he will NOT visit with UofL coaches on Colerain's Campus.

 

Anyway, back on topic. Any news of interest from the Rockheads?

Trinity is the team to beat in November no question. No one has been able to beat them in Nov/Dec for the last three years. Until someone can step up and beat the Rocks, the Rocks are King!!! I don't have any reason to think that Trinity is "down" this year. They have plenty of talent and more importantly, excellent coaching. Trinity will continue to do what Trinity does, Out Coach Opponents, Out Scout opponents, Out prepare Opponents and Out play Opponents. There you go! The real season starts in November!!!! Let's see who can make it to Nov with a chance...

I just read the review article. T is not senior-laden by any means. Hopefully, the youngsters will be able to compete with X and their other opponents.
