I think it's a very real possibility that Trinity enters the X game winless and X enters it undefeated and we all know what happened the last time that occurred.

 

Of course X does have a murders row early but that's fodder for another thread.

Trinity entering the X game winless is not going to happen. T still has some solid players along with superior coaching. Trust me they will find a way to win their fair share of games!!!

With the change in Trinity's personnel between last year and this year, will there be a difference in Trinity's offensive and defensive philosophy or schemes?

 

Defensive philosophy & Schemes will be the same. Offensively the Schemes will be the same but Rather than the Offensive mainly going threw 2 players"Quick & Dawkins" they now will spread the ball around considerably more.

Most College programs host camps in the summer. Great way for them to see prospects like Reggie up close. They can get 40 times, shuttles, etc... plus with QB's they can see their velocity, mechanics, accuracy, as they throw to receivers in the camp setting. Often a big school may have coaches from a variety of other colleges in attendance whether they are helping or just watching. For example, Ohio State's camp a couple of years ago had 50+ coaches from all levels in attendance, so it gives the athlete lots of exposure. I'm sure he's been impressive in those settings in addition to other combines and 7on7 tourneys he may have been involved with. While college coaches can't attend the combines they can to some degree rely on the verified information that Nike, Under Armour, NUC, and others make public (height, weight, 40 times, etc...).

Reggie has performed big time at numerous camps. He has shown he has a big time arm & he is quite an athlete.

 

BTW Reggie also has a 4* rating on scout in addition to him being 3* on rivals

From what I understand he has been more than impressive in off-season QB camps over the past couple of years, doubt it has much of anything to do w/ his JV performances...

athletically I think there's a very good chance of it, all depends on his decision making under fire & from what little I've seen of him @ QB in live action so far as a freshman & sophmore I think our Rocks will be just fine under his leadership...

Wow...almost a month has gone by and not a single post about the greatest football program in the state. What gives Rock lovers? One can only assume spring practice was either really, really good...or really, really bad!

Trinity does 7on7, conditioning and weight training in the spring. No practice.

T-Cat, I think that is a great question that I have no answer to. I wish the young man the best but I do not like the trend.. ala Stoops offering to a 7th grader. Not smart IMO.

Just adding this in In case you all haven't heard....Reg ran a 4.44 at Louisville's qb camp the other day. That's some big time speed
