The Crusaders roll by an injury-plagued Cov Cath team on Saturday afternoon in Park Hills. Cov Cath has starting receiver Evan Braun leave the game in the first half with an injured shoulder. Braun eventually ended up leaving for the hospital at halftime. Both Dressman brothers were switching in a quarterback. Most of their offensive yards came off of QB running plays. The defensive backfield wasn't very pretty either.

You can't compete with Moe at half strength. Hang in their Colonels better times are ahead.

#16 Rensing scored that TD.

Hopefully, all the Colonels get healthy soon. No shame in losing to Moeller, not many NKY schools sign up for that duty. Hang in there T.OG., I know how much each season means to you. See you in a couple weeks when the Birds visit.

The number of injuries for CCH is crazy. Sounds like Braun is now out for a while. Unfortunate.

Sounds like Burchell is back next week.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

To be the best you have to play the best my arse! There is absolutely no reason this game should have ever been played. I mean what is the point? CovCath is never going to win this game and all it is going to do is beat the kids up physically and emotionally.

I do not, nor will I ever understand, the mindset behind agreeing to this game, from EITHER side of the equation.

Heard that the big linemen, Sherman maybe, is also now out from 6 weeks to the whole season. Broken foot is what I heard, but it was 3rd hand, so don't quote me.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I'm not an expert, nor a coach, but this is just my humble opinion:

I believe the Cov Cath staff understands what great effort it will take year in and year out to defeat Highlands, twice, and win a state championship. Now, If Highlands and Moeller were to play 10 times, I'd bet the series would be pretty even. I could be wrong, but that is the caliber Highlands is at and has been at. So why not schedule someone who will not only run a very similar offense, but will bring outstanding athletes as well? Just my opinion, but I think scheduling a team like Moeller is a good measuring stick for their game(s) against Highlands.

Hopefully everyone can stay healthy for the rest of the season.

I've seen Highlands up close and Moeller up close. No way they split a ten game series. Moeller has so many kids who will be playing at the next level it's crazy.

Yes, you are wrong, there is no way HHS splits with Moeller. It's apples and oranges.

I understand your point, and I don't completely disagree with you, but for what it's worth, Cov Cath HAS beaten Moeller before.

Hold that thought Dad...Seeing each team up close and playing each team up close may change your mind...We shall see:thumb:

I think that Miller's assessment is not too far off..JMO
