  1. I stand corrected. I did not know they were in the same district.
  2. Good win for Lafayette. They are really rolling! Their district with LexCath and Tates Creek is going to be probably the toughest in the state.
  3. Good win for Scott Co. after a tough one with Clark Co. on Sunday.
  4. This game all depends on Stenzel. If he plays and is healthy I think Clark wins convincingly. If he does not play then Mason has a great chance at the win.
  5. I really like Clark Co. I think Coach Humphrey does a very good job. Their kids usually really play hard and they have a lot of talent, size, and athleticism. The one big problem they have is they do not handle pressure very well. Teams that are athletic and press give them some problems. Now, assuming Stenzel gets back healthy I can't see anyone in the 10th region really giving them trouble like Seneca, Scott Co, LexCath, etc.
  6. Should Shelby Valley been in the All A? What is the cut off?
  7. I think how Clark Co. handles LexCath's press will decide the game. If they take care of the ball decently they should win. However if LexCath turns them over a lot it could be interesting. Clark Co. is at home so that helps too.
  8. LexCath is notorious for getting a friendly whistle. They remind me of watching Duke play at home!
  9. So would any region be a bad draw for Corbin? Also, Corbin hasn't won their regions yet and neither has Scott Co. I'm sure neither team are worried about this draw. They are probably worried about getting out of the district more than the Sweet 16 right now!
  10. Just looking at the regions in general (7th being the best and 11th being the next best) how could you say its not a bad draw. There are atleast 11 or more other regions Corbin would have been better off against.
  11. The 7th region is going to be crazy! To win this region will be a huge accomplishment!
  12. How has UH been this year? LCA probably has the best team I have seen them have this season. I watched them play LexCath tough early in the year and that was without Burdette. Burdette has been playing very well lately.
  13. That looks pretty good to me.
  14. They had a lot of question marks going in. In high school basketball its impossible to be accurate. I knew they would be pretty good with what they have coming back, but then you have Davis, Shaw, and especially Hagans come in as guys no one heard of and really make this a very good team!
  15. When you look at how bad they were before Ligon got there I don't see how anyone would justify getting rid of him as long as hes done nothing else wrong.
  16. Not really a surprise at all. Lafayette has more talent than Mason Co. Yarborough, Napier, Walker, and Hagans are all very good players.
  17. It looks pretty good to me. At this point I really like the top 5 and could be in about any order. LexCath should definitly be in the top 10 though.
  18. It obviously takes good coaching. There is no doubt both programs have that. A questin I have is what draws all the talent to these schools. A lot of kids I know go there for football and if thats what their families want I don't have a problem, just like any situations as long as recruiting isn't involved. But what does draw in the talent? Facilities, funds, coaching, etc.
  19. I disagree. While IMO this senior class doesn't have a player like Chris Lofton, Scotty Hopson, Bud Mackey, Darius Miller, Shelvin Mack, etc. there are a ton of good players this year. Ballard is very good and deep. The senior class of players is much better this year than last year.
  20. Shelby Valley is very good and a dangerous team. I would have liked to have seen them play more great teams in Ky, but they have a great team. They will be very dangerous in March.
  21. Not saying no one else is capable of going all the way, but at this point I believe these teams are playing the best.
  22. I'd put them number 1. They have proven the most thus far. Ballard is awfully good as well. They should be 1 and 2. I think after that Eastern, Scott Co, Holmes, LexCath, and Shelby Valley are all very capable of winning a state championship IMO.
  23. PRP has fallen off big time in recent years. Doe anyone know why?
  24. So kids should be punished and not allowed to participate in sports when school is cancelled for safety? Ive seen a lot of days in Bell Co. where the roads were very dangerous in the morning, but by 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon the temp warms up and roads are fine. I think its better to use a little common sense in that situation.
  25. Mason has a quality basketball team and one that the community should be proud of. But they have been so good that for their standards Mason is down this year IMO.
