Top 25 polls
Both polls IMO are pretty good, but the Courier-Journal looks more accurate IMO.

Boyle County/Bell County Predictions
Very good point. He a great player and will be ready to go I'm sure. These teams are different. Like its been said, Boyle Co. was more of a passing team last year. Bell Co. has replaced a lot of players, but IMO is more explosive this year. All the talk is about Macshara, but Davenport from Bell Co. has also had a big year. Hes got close to 2,000 yards and is an explosive back.

Boyle County/Bell County Predictions
To be fair I don't believe either team has seen a defense like they will Friday night (except for Bell with Alcoa the 1st game of the year). Both teams are well-coached and have explosive weapons. This game could very well come down to turnovers. It should be an excellent game!

Could The Arena in Corbin begin hosting the 13th region tourney?
I think at some point a region needs to be held there, but I also think there should be other options available. Harlan Co. deserves to host it too. I don't think i should be set in stone to have it at the same place every year.

Checking in Clark County
No, but he is in the know about the scrimmage.
-
George Rogers Clark/Holmes scrimmage
Did Rice for Holmes not play? He had a really good Sweet 16 last year, but I didn't see where he scored.
-
Checking in Clark County
I just can't see picking Mason over Clark Co. this year with the seniors Mason lost and Barner transferring.

Checking in Clark County
I don' know whether to do this. or this:

Boyle County/Bell County Predictions
That wouldn't bother me any.

Checking in Clark County
You still haven't answered the question yet. So how are they overrated without even having rankings yet?

Boyle County/Bell County Predictions
Both teams have been undefeated in Ky. Both teams are playing extremely well right now and both teams have great weapons all over the field. I'd be shocked if its not a very close game.
-
Bell County 41 Lawrence County 0
From what I could tell one player in particular got ejected from Lawrence and did not handle the situation very well. Its probably best to leave it at that.
-
Checking in Clark County
Where are they rated at? I have seen no rankings yet other than the CatsPause Bball preview ranking them 2nd in the region (a Mason Co. fan, put Mason 1st).

South Laurel Not Going to PRP Panarama
They were one of the schools listed that will play in the scrimmage at Corbin's new "Arena" Saturday that I saw somewhere.

Rose Hill Gets Reprieve
Yeah I don't want to pile on Rose Hill. It seems they have had a tough time recently basketball-wise. It is kind of bad situation with their description of the scholarship deal if the boy's family wanted this done. It seems like a good gesture. But that comment just isn't needed.
-
Any D1, D2 or D3's watching?
Polson and Watts are different players. Both are very good and both will be fun to watch this year.
-
Rose Hill Gets Reprieve
This seems like a tricky situation with the family of a player who died wanting the boy to have a scholarship. But the tape is a red flag assuming there was something said in the tape that was inproper. I believe this will end up going to an actual court before its all said and done. Also, why would they say if we are going to recruit, we would recruit someone who could play. That doesn't seem like an appropriate statement.

Elliott County has low turnout
I can remember 3 or 4 students I went to school with who got held back and did not participate in athletics. Obviously athletics is a huge reason why students do get held back, but its not the only reason. I can't understand the criticism of it and I don't guess I ever will. The only situation I could see being criticized is if you have a straight A student who needs to go on and be challenged academically.
-
Elliott County has low turnout
Thats a great idea and all, but what about the students that do well because of athletics. There is a lot of kids, particularly ones that do not have a good home life that do well in school only so they can participate in athletics. Also, IMO a really big reason to hold a kid back is the maturity level of some kids.

Lexington Catholic Republic Bank Classic
When I said there usually is a stronger field, it seems a lot of times there is a good out of state team or 2. It is a very good field, just not their strongest.
-
Lexington Catholic Republic Bank Classic
The field doesn't seem to be as strong as it usually is. LexCath, Clark Co, and Trinity should be the 3 best teams in the tournament.
-
Bell County 48 Rockcastle County 0
They had a dominant team for a while. They made it to the state championship twice, one time beating Highlands. I'd say they were better than pretty good for a while there.
-
Bell County 48 Rockcastle County 0
Impressive win for the Bobcats! Bell threw the ball very successful tonight as well as running it.
-
Bell County/Rockcastle County Prediction
Rockastle is a capable football team and has a great program. Bell would never overlook them. Both teams are very well-coached. And there is no need to get on here and say well Saylor outcoached Hilton 5 years ago and will do it again or whatever. Both teams are well-coached. So if Rock wins I will get on here and say that Rock has the better team and I'll say I was wrong with my prediction. Will you do the same thing if Bell wins?

Vote on The Arena will happen before January, 2010
You posted a picture of the layout on the original thread about having the regional tournament there. In the picture there is a big gap between the bleachers and the floor. I assume more seats will be put in, but usually seats are angled to go higher so everyone can see and this wouldn't seem possible in the layout of the picture. I am interested to see how close the fans are to the floor when they have games there and see.
