  1. You maybe right, but is this the case or not?
  2. My question is how do you decide who to investigate? Is it based on parents who aren't happy with playing time and call with accusations? Is there a lot of investigating going on for kids that transfer? I don't understand who pays the investigators. If I move and put my son in a different school should I expect to see people staking outside my house watching our every move?
  3. So were peopel paid money to stake out his grandmother's home? That seems like a big waste of money to me. We may disagree, but the whole thing seems like a little much.
  4. Does it bother anyone else that investigators were staked outside his grandmother's house to see if he left there in the morning and went to school? You'd think they could find something more productive to do with their time. The boy isn't a criminal.
  5. I watched the game on the Wazoo channel. It was a good ball game. Both teams got after each other, but it really wasn't as close as the score shows. Scott Co. was up by around 20 when they started emptying the bench. Nice game by Shotwell.
  6. Clay Co. IMO don't have anyone as good as Johnson, but I do believe they have good balance and several kids who can play. Clay Co. at Clay pulls out the win tonight.
  7. Congratulations to both teams. I would say Boyle, Bell, and Lone Oak were the 3 best teams in 4A hands down. I'm surprised Boyle Co. had such a tough game, although Bell did complete several passes against Boyle and it seems Boyle is better against the run than the pass. Its an amazing accomplishment with Boyle Co. having a knock down dragout one week and then facing a high-powered offense like Lone Oak the next.
  8. After seeing him in person and seeing how great he is I think the award should go to MacShara. He is the best player I have seen this year.
  9. Your right. Both teams played a great game and deserved to win. Its just a tough one to swallow because Bell had their opportunities and didn't capitalize, and Boyle Co. didn't capitalize on all their opportunities either. I hope to see Boyle Co. on Log Mountain next year for another classic!
  10. The defender was all over him. I was on the Boyle Co. side too. It was an amazing play. The right call was made IMO.
  11. While not my favorite game with Bell losing this one was definitly the best game I have seen all year. When seeing 2 teams that talented and evenly matched go at it, it makes for an amazing game.
  12. Bell should be at full strength if everyone plays for this one, even though the football guys are going to be no where close to where they will be down the road. I'm afraid its going to be a tough opener for my Bobcats, though.
  13. I can't see Lone Oak giving Boyle Co. much trouble. I think Boyle will win convincingly.
  14. I don't put much stock into scrimmages, but based on what Trinity has done in their 2 scrimmages they are worth paying close attention to. I'd put Eastern 3rd too. They are very good!
  15. When talking about karma Lawrence Co. needs to look at themselves in the mirror. Or on youtube. The celebration video against Knox Central was poor sportsmanship IMO. Also, the way a couple Lawrence Co. players acted during the Bell game was disturbing too. Bell Co. has always been a class act under Coach Hilton, just like Boyle Co. is. And that will not change with the current coaches.
  16. It looks pretty good. I think Christian Co. maybe a little high. I think Ballard is a little low. And even know it was a scrimmage, someone may comment who knows better than me, but I'd guess Trinity should be on there after beating Scott Co.
  17. I think they should be excused to do this. With the time coaches, particularly in football and basketball, put into working with their teams they are underpaid (atleast the coaches that really work hard). Which I don't have a problem with. Coaches coach because they love it, not because of money in most situations IMO. So I think its good to reward the coaches that work so hard all year.
  18. A question I have is what was wrong with the PA system? I never heard an announcer all game. And there were big speakers on top of the press box. As for the calls, I did not think it was pass interference on Rains from Bell Co. I thought the defender was into him pretty good. It was a great catch. The late hit by Madon had to be a late hit because he definitly did not lead with his helmet. He went up and tried to make a big play and it was close. It ended up being a really big play in the game. I also thought on the halfback pass with Cory Davenport throwing to his brother Cody there was interference on that play. Thats my opinion and a tough call to make I guess. There is no excuses. One great team won and another great team fell a little short.
  19. I heard the bad news earlier today. Prayers go out to his family.
  20. I think Boyle Co. will win this one either. They are too good IMO.
  21. Great football game. Man it hurts as a Bell Co. fan to lose a game like this. There was a lot of could of, should of, would of moments for Bell Co. and for Boyle Co. too for that matter. But the boys from both teams can be proud of themselves. The difference in the game was #2. MacShara was outstanding. Bell really held him down in the first half for the most part, but in the 2nd half he kept getting stronger. Bell really hit him hard several times, but he kept going stronger. I was really surprised we could not run the football any better. Boyle had an excellent defense. The 7 seniors Bell had were great for 4 years. Those guys will be missed. They helped lead Bell to a state title last year and have had amazing careers. The good news is for us is Bell Co. has a lot of talent coming back and the future looks great! Good luck Boyle Co.
  22. Bell Co. typically don't give up many big plays. I think thats a big key to it. If your going to score on Bell Co. its typically pretty mythotical. Also, Alcoa, Marion, and Whitley really piled up a lot of yards on Bell Co early in the year. Actually Whitley probaby would have scored another TD or 2, but fumbled a lot. Also, can you explain the video taping deal? I didn't hardly understand the situation.
  23. Does anyone understand 6A? It changes every year. It confuses the heck out of me.
  24. I think there is still a lot of unknown about him. He did not have a very good season last year when all the guys ahead of him have proven they are capable of playing great in high school.
  25. I don't think playing hard is exactly the reason Holmes didn't perform that well. I am guessing Holmes and Clark Co. played a lot of players and neither team was playing like they will in a regular season game.
