So running the two minute drill against Trimble County, Ludlow, Frankfort, or Crittenden County somehow gave the Tigers the situation and real game experience to be able to execute it against Hazard? Other than the time on the clock what did the two (2) sitautions have in common that helped the Tigers?

Cov. Cath. beat SK 9-0. Highlands beat Holy Cross 10-1. Are these scores over the top or acceptable? Did the coaches do anything in wrong or should they have managed the score a bit more? Any thoughts?

I believe it will be Maile. McDonald can blame parental interferrence, but her "sunny disposition" probably created as many issues as any other outside influence.

Maybe, but with stop lights that would be about 15 minutes (maybe 10 minutes if you are lucky).

I would say that Calavary is at least another 15 minutes from Wilder.

A big obstacle at Calvary to their growth is how conservative and restrictive (dare I say legalistic) they are. Certainly to many people that either don't share the same faith as the leadership of the school and to others that may share the same faith, but not the conservative brand of the schools leadership, this is a huge hurdle to their growth, IMO. I am not familiar with Lexington Christian so I can't comment on how conservative they are, but locally a school that mirrors the growth of what LBBC is envisioning could happen at Calvary is Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. They are much more culturally mainstream, which would make them more palatable to a wider portion of the population.

To say that Highlands puts all their eggs in the football basket might be an understatement. My guess is that there are an awfully lot of people in Ft. Thomas that really don't care that Cov. Cath. beats up on Highlands in basketball and 6 or 7 sports that no fans other than parents atttend. Which might be an intersting question: If you could choose one sport to dominate your rival in, but then in return they would dominate you in all others, would you choose to do that?

Did Walker or Mayo play any defense?

Mitch Shover was the best player on the court. At times he might have pressed a little, but he is very smooth. Highlands has some good athletes, but I think Cov. Cath. has better basketball players. This game could have gone either way.

I know nothing about the new coach; however, I wonder if the debacle after Danny Haney leaving had anything to do with them staying in house.

I see a pattern. Highlands wins in football the Cov. Cath. faithful look to the refs. Highlands wins in basketball....

Awesomebaby: You were more level headed and fair in assessing the program than I have ever seen you. I know we still disagree on Coach Herald, but I think we can agree that there is enough talent at Beechwood that they should have better teams than they have historically.

I think Beechwood will clearly take a step back and not just because Yeagle is stepping down. The talent pipeline at Beechwood clearly isn't what it has been. Schneider may turn the corner and start beating Beechwood.

Did Coach Schneider silence the critics when he lost to a clearly less talented Beechwood team?

Why does the Lions club get to run the concession stand?

Newport or NCC would be the same unless margins mean anything to you. There isn't a year in the past 15 that NCC could have beat Highlands.

All Schneider did was prove that once again he can take a more talented team and lose to Beechwood. Not exactly a COY feat. He wouldn't even be COY in NKY much less the state. I think Settles, Brown, and Downs are all great picks.

What year did these two graduate?

A - Newport Catholic AA- Russell (I wish Ft. Campbell would have won) AAA - Lexington Catholic or Bullitt East AAAA - Anybody but X or Trinity (nothing against either school just like to see someone else for a change)
