  1. Coach of the Year

Shmeli posted a topic in KY Football (High School)
The Coach of the Year in Kentucky is Bill Sharp of Russell County. The Russell County Lakers were a combined 4-17 the past two years in 2A football. Coach Sharp, an assistant for the program for over 15 years took over this year as the team entered 3A for the first time. Currently, the Lakers are 8-1 w/ the only loss coming to SWPC, 20-28. Coach Sharp has been long overdue the job, and has turned the program around. The team has not played the best of competition; however, show me a team that has made a better improvement, especially after a class jump (and in this case a jump into the strongest in the state). Bill Sharp should be comended...he's the Coach of the Year!
