Question about NCC?

Featured Replies

Very small senior class. I believe that they only have 8 guys. Also, I don't believe that the sophomore class is very big. They still have some size, and hopefully those 36 players can all contribute. What makes me nervous is that A. they have a young team, B. they have a killer schedule, and C. they have a young team, w/ 36 players, playing a killer schedule. I, for one fan, do not really care what their record is after their first six games as long as they improve each week, and stay healthy. If they do that, then it will only strengthen their resolve when they get into the playoffs.

I can understand your concerns, their non district schedule is very strong, hopefully those 36 can stay injury free.

They have a very tough schedule.

How are the Freshman numbers and how do they look?

NCC freshmen look very good! I believe there are 22 on the team. QB Josh Cain will be a player to watch in the future. Their strength is speed. The running backs hit the line very fast and can get around the corner just as fast. The coaching staff is very high on these youngsters.

Varsity scrimmage Holmes tonight. Team conditioning is key for them because they have a lot of players playing both sides of the ball.

Why aren't more buys coming out for football in the two classes you mention?

I'm not sure. At a school NewCath's size, it cyclical. Now, why its only 8, I don't know. You would figure that at a 2A school, on a down class (in terms of numbers only, the 8 they have are very talented) you'd still have at least 12 kids. The only people that really know are the kids not playing.

I heard the Miller kid that was the starting QB for the Frosh last year is not playing..I believe he is going to just play golf..

He is playing golf and by the way he's very good, but he is also going to kick for thr football team.

He is going to kick? Good. I had heard that it was golf only.
