My assessment would be, Central has played a tougher schedule in the regular season and the playoffs and have been in some close games and found a way to win. In their games against Wayne, Bell and Monroe they spent a lot of the game behind on the scoreboard, but when they had to make plays they did. I look for Central to put a complete game together not just a half or a quarter. In other words, I look for the champs to look like it for the entire game not just flashes... Belfry's closest game was a loss to Johnson Central all of Belfry's victories have been by 3tds or more, I don't know how Belfry will react if Central has early success and gets up on them, I don't think it would be good for Belfry to get down a score or two because Central can get stingy.

We'll see. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one get away from Belfry in a hurry.

I'm sure Belfry is a great team, but I can't see Central losing. Central is just so quick to the point of attack that its very hard to consistently move the ball on them, I think Belfry can have some early success but Central will adjust and shut them down. If Belfry is to win they'll need win the turnover battle and get their points early and play superb defense... Central 20 Belfry 14

He needed to be reeled in... Kudos to MSU for sending a message before something goes too far. Personally, I can't understand how some people think the way to handle immature behavior is with immature behavior. Sean had every right to confront the player and call him out, but not in the heat of the moment and not by putting his hands on him. If the player was immature enough to curse his coach, then he's in mature enough to overreact to his coach putting his hands on him. Coach Woods took a teaching moment and turned into a lesson learned for himself, he'll get to sit the next game and the player that cursed his coach will be playing.

Please tell me where I implied they should be reclassified? I simply replied to a comment about them being reclassified with an observation that they dress a lot of players... Not sure how you got anything from my post that indicated I think they should be reclassified? If anything I say great job Central for getting the participation that high, in that neighborhood there's a lot of bad things those kids could be doing if they weren't playing football...

I got the feeling after seeing their facility's of "if you build it they will come". Not sure how long Central has been around but the facility appeared to be about 6-7 years old, the state championship banners appear to coincide with the age of their compound.

Never said they should be... I just pointed out they dress over 100 and must have good participation. If their enrollment puts them in 3A then 3A it is...

Just got home from a great game... Monroe held the lead at the end of the first qtr, at half time and at the end of the third qtr. Central won the game but they had to earn it. I couldn't be prouder of the boys from Roe, they laid it all on the line and a play here or there and they would be playing in a state championship. Not enough can be said about how good Central is. Several times tonight Monroe would appear to have a big play open up only to be tackled for a four yard gain, their ability to recover from mistakes or blown assignments is simply amazing. Monroe had very few mistakes in this game with the exception of a couple dropped passes, but all in all, Monroe played the game they needed to and still come up short, to me I have no regrets or feelings of what if, Central was just the better team. It would be nice to someday get to the championship game before having to play the champ, for years it was Fort Campbell and now Central. Of course Central still has to play Belfry, but it would be hard for me to see Central losing to be quite honest, but good luck to both teams.

BTW I'm glad that Wayne is back on the schedule next year. It's always a good game and Coach Thompson is a fine coach...

By handled do you mean won? Wayne may have won the scrimmage if that's possible seeing how it was conducted, but I hope you understand how much of Monroe you saw in that scrimmage. I watched it as well and can tell you that you saw very little of Monroe. Monroe wasn't about to go all out with Chad fighting for yards and taking unnecessary abuse in an effort to win a scrimmage.

I only remember one pick but I'm sure the stats were right. Doesn't change the fact Monroe had success throwing on PT, it's what won the game for them combined with great effort by the defense, it was a blocked punt and a big time hit in the end zone that popped the ball out for the Falcons Defense. Like you said "good teams have a way of making opponents pay for mistakes", of course you didn't say that about Monroe. When it comes to threads about Monroe, you're like the guy that shows up at every house fire but never brings water... You bring marshmallows....

They beat Wayne by 3. Do you think Wayne is just that much better than Monroe that we cant play with them?

Probably because he's seen a lot of players and not many like________ I don't know where the misconception comes from that Monroe can't throw the ball. We haven't thrown the ball much because we haven't had to. We have rushed for nearly 4,000 yards. Why pass when we have had so much success running? Ask PT if Monroe can pass. They loaded the box so we started throwing the ball and running a read pass that gave Chad the option to throw or run and had success in doing so, Monroe out scored PT 22-0 in the second half. It will be an uphill climb no doubt, but Monroe will come to play and pack the house. That much you can be sure of....

I agree with the exposure part. He's got some "free air time" if nothing else.

I welcome his info as well, always have. I've been on this board long enough to know he says what he thinks and so do I. If Jones ends up at UK then that's a kick to his groin... No other way to put it. IMO the flirtation between UK and Jones has already debunked his opinion somewhat.
