  1. Wow!!! Great 2nd half atmosphere, the place was rocking... Monroe really brought it in the second half, the defense scored two TD's and PT could never get anything going. Great job by the coaching staff on making great adjustments. PT had the better athletes, but Monroe had the better football players and team. Bottom Line.
  2. You better have a good heart if you eat at Dovie's, the locals have been breed to live through it, out of town folk often visit the Monroe Co. Medical Center after eating there... All kidding aside it (Dovies) is our most famous eating establishment and has been featured on/in several food reviews and books... Do you travel with FC any these days or just Trigg Co.?
  3. On occasion they BBQ at the game, doubt they will Friday night though. BackYard is probably the best IMO, but Frances is good as well, just a different style. Red Barn has good shredded nacho's and tater skins but the BBQ is a notch below BackYard... Anita's ribs are great (Memphis style) but they'll be gone shortly after 11:30 on Friday...
  4. It's apparent we're alone on this one. It'll be worth mentioning in 5 years when Petrino is at the same job, winning, and UK is conducting its second or third coaching search in 5 years...
  5. Adair Co. made some lineup changes that didn't work out after the Monroe game. If nothing else this thread has been fun. No doubt, some crow and humble pie will be ate next Friday night. Don't eat too much BBQ so you'll have room...:thumb:
  6. Without a doubt the secondary is what I'm concerned with...
  7. There's that built-in excuse again... I can understand though, with that much "talent" there's sometimes not enough atmosphere to contain their swagger...
  8. I'm apparently less interested in 2011 than you are, because I could care less about lineup changes, schedule's, 37-0 or anything else concerning 2011... it's 2012, and the only thing I'm concerned with is our next match-up with the super "talented" PT Blue Tornado's... I think it'll be a competitive game and I think one team and one fan base will leave with a new found respect for the other...
  9. I just hope our boy's don't get mesmerized by all of PT's "talent", they've probably never seen anything like it before...
  10. After PT beat FC last year, FC started blowing teams out and had five straight shut outs, the writing was on the wall that FC was a different team. I don't think the same can be said for this years PT team, we'll see though...
  11. It appeared you're saying that it's irrelevant if they hire a big name coach??? My point is they can't afford to not hire a big name... UK can't sell enthusiasm with a guy like Cutcliffe, Fulmer or some unknown OC/DC. Energy level is low and so is attendance, UK can't afford to have 50,000 empty seats at CW...
  12. If Mitch doesn't call Petrino then he's a fool. Someone will call him and I bet you can watch the wins rack up. Also, I would bet with his time off he's realized his image is almost unrepairable, I would expect him to be on the up and up from here on out...
  13. I get what you're saying, but I think you're missing the point. Joker has used up what little patience this fan base has. Whoever UK hires has to inject energy into this fan base immediately. 19,000 butt's at CW wont cut it, and if the fan base isn't energized that's what you can expect...
  14. No doubt UK could use an experienced, steady and patient coach like a Bill Synder. The problem is, Joker has used up all the patience of this fan base. IMO it's to the point UK will have to make a sexy hire to inject some energy into this fan base...
  15. I would hope that Joker would finish these last two games and the crowd will show him and the team the respect they deserve...
  16. That's what gets lost in all this wins and loses talk... The best case for UK long term would have been that Joker could have been successful, had he been he would have become THE Mount Rushmore for UK football... As is now, I hope he lands on his feet somewhere as a coordinator and maybe later gets to become a HC again...
  17. Yea, I seen that but wasn't going fight his battle...
  18. guarantee he received more than a couple of phone calls over that comment. I can even sense in his letter language that suggest to me his hand was somewhat forced...
  19. Seems a little arrogant to me. Why would you expect FC to pull for Monroe? If PT wins they play the regional championship at FC if Monroe wins they (FC) come to Monroe, not the mention they already drubbed PT once, I expect their not impressed with "the several lineup changes" since the first drubbing...
  20. I would hire him in a minute. If he would take the job I would announce him HC tomorrow.
  21. That's where I seen it as well... Matt Jones eluded yesterday that he had heard something would happen today.
  22. Open Letter to the Big Blue Nation - Kentucky Wildcats Official Athletic Site letter from Mitch...
