Don't get it twisted. I'm a UK fan all the way... You're kidding yourself if you can't admit that Cal sometimes says too much... What if the two players he publicly criticized said to a reporter that Cal's coaching methods aren't understandable or clear?

Biggest difference in this game? Coaching. UL has the better game plan and better coach...

IMO every team that scores a lot of uncontested points, or a fast break team if you will, struggles in the half court... Any team that isn't rattled by the pressure will probably be a team with a great backcourt, usually those team have a lack of inside presence. Maybe a good center, but usually undersized at the forward position. We'll learn a lot about UL in big east play, but IMO, they will reach the final four barring a flop...

I don't see much weakness... I see a team that is more mature and skilled than last years final four team, couple that with a weaker field and I could easily see UL cutting down the nets...

Never smoked a cigarette, doubt I'll head straight to the chronic... If he had wanted people to know he was kidding, there's simple steps that ensure sarcasm isn't missed... Unless of course you're floating on the mellow marshmallow, then I suppose you don't take anything serious:lol: (notice the :lol: ? that indicates a joke, as in I'm just kidding big fella) Also, it wasn't just UK fans that missed the so called sarcasm...

If UL clicks on all cylinders they will win it all, which would be kinda cool (hard to say) in that the state of Kentucky would have a Alabama football version of keeping the championship in state. I'm okay with UL being Auburn and UK being Alabama...

I'm happy with the effort from UK, they played well enough to win, at times, and showed tremendous effort. On a different note, they're aren't many people I despise more in college basketball than Doug Shows...

No kidding. I won't sugar coat it when it comes to Griffiths... He is a certified dirtbag that has done things that go beyond "competitive" or "passionate". The people of Green Co. have had a great program the last few years, it's too bad they've had their run tainted by the perception that Griffiths had brought on them. With the right leadership Green Co. can be a competitive team in 2A, and more importantly be a team that people respect...

Wow... I guess that's good he is pursuing something that is obviously important to him, I wonder if he will resurface in a year or so? He went out as high as a Warren East coach could, and will be coveted by any school looking for a solid ball coach....

When are they not a contender?

Glad to see Monroe County's Chad Wilson on the list. Wouldn't be surprised to see him have a significant impact in this game. I would have liked to have seen FB/LB Jacob Hodges on the list as well, he has D1 strength on a D1 frame and could have used the added exposure.

I'm currently working in Knoxville, and let me tell you this place has been crazy, this week especially. Another week of this and this place is subject to self destruct.

I'm a UK fan and would love to see UL irrelevant again, but, I understand the thinking on overpaying to keep Strong. At a minimum, UL will be a top 25 program under Strong and with the future of the ACC and UL on the line they have to be a top 25 program or run the risk of being left out during the next conference shuffle. Overpaying Strong now may turn out to be the best financial decision UL has ever made...
