Check Wikipedia on Mercer County for your asterisk..... They may not have an asterisk as far as the KHSAA goes but don't kid yourself if you think that championship isn't devalued... they (Mercer) also don't have any meaniful success since the year of their KHSAA gift either. That will be the path of SW as well. They've had 4A enrollment for years and next year when they finally go to 4A (high numbers at that) they'll have 5A enrollment... My hope is Belfry gets them this year, and if they do we (SW Haters) can sleep easy for eternity as they will never sniff any more success than their mother school (Greenwood) has...

A friend and more informed Bourbon fan than myself recently told me that the recent cold winters is going to make for some of the best tasting bourbon we've seen in years. Is this true?

Recently I heard a great new artist named Sturgill Simpson. I was wondering if anyone else was a fan... He's already been on Letterman, Conan and Fallon. He's seems like he would be an interesting character with his upbringing and history.

My stance is this and I still believe it to be true; for the last 4 years they should have been 4A, next year they will have 5A enrollment when you consider the graduating class and the incoming class. Thus my belief that for 8 years they are the most blessed team in KHSAA history...

I really don't understand why the need for the clarification that it's not the kids fault... I think it's glaringly obvious that it's not the kids fault. But it's still "bull" that a new school in athlete rich Warren County gets shown such favoritism, for such a duration. Everyone with reasonable sense knew what the enrollment at SW was going to become, everyone but the KHSAA apparently.

How many years was Mercer given a gift? SW will recieve 6-8 years of endowment from the KHSAA...

Yea it's only DoubleTake on BGP, but playing them and seeing their fan base in person has given me a strong disdain for that program. Their new coach has the same persona as the old one who I had a strong dislike for as well... IMO they will never be close to BG in stature or "class"...

Their going to 4A next year, which they should have been for three years now... It's my understanding that inside the halls of that school next year will be an enrollment that technically puts them in 5A, so in essence they'll get another three year gift from KHSAA by playing down. A conspiracy theorist might wonder what relationships exist with the powers backing SW, KHSAA, Riherds etc.. I've long wondered who or what got the State Championship to BG, now I wonder what has got SW such favoritism and is there a link...

I wouldn't hold my breath on SW fans ever conducting business like BG... They're basicly assembled from Greenwood who may have had the most arrogant fan base in the state and had nothing to back it up. Also when SW succeeds in the class they belong in I will respect them... All these "young players" for SW are a part of an enrollment that should make SW 5A, competing in 3A.... Anyone surprised their having success?

I think you fail to acknowledge that 1) UK is playing a team that was supposed to be rebuilding as well 2) they (UT) were supposed to be a few years away as well 3) UK is regressing 4) the effort is poor 5) UK is getting hosed by what should be a similar caliber team.

Dupree is tough but he can be soft as well... Fact...

The defense has stunk but how about the field position the ST and Offense has given UT all day??? Field position is more lopsided than the scoreboard.

Yea I'm not very optimistic about finding any pappy at a reasonable cost... I just sometimes get naive and think it may be available at some mom and pop shop... I've heard that even the lottery's are rigged???

Question for the bourbon experts, where can I find and purchase pappy? I've never had any and would love to have a bottle or two. Also where's the best place to buy the limited release stuff like Woodford's masters collection, Old Forester birthday, buffalo trace antique etc? Also has anyone tried the Willett cask strength?

The play calling was bad and that should be obvious to all. It had no rhythm and again too many 3 and outs.... It's true that execution was poor but play calling didn't do a very good job of creating opportunity's. We had one successful series running the ball then spent the rest of the game trying to recreate it.

Watching Winston interact with his teammates and coaches is painful. Can't make myself like him....

While exciting, this is just bad football......
