  1. Monroe will have to do a much better job finishing drives off with points. But for now I'm just happy Monroe won and Green lost. It makes everything in the world seem right...
  2. Not sure where I crossed you at, but you sure seem to be on the edge, good luck with that...
  3. I get it now, so you would have been just as right had you picked it to be 75-61?
  4. I forgot to add how well the Rb's did last night, I heard Coach Petett comment on the coach's show that he demanded that they start running down hill and hard, you could certainly see the difference last night. Also really proud of the job that Corey Shirley (Soph) came in and did last night, he runs hard and is very nifty...
  5. I personally like the way John Petett does it at Monroe Co. When the game is 100% in control he starts substituting immediately, IMO as a HC you owe it to the guys who go against your starters everyday and make the team better but don't get a chance to get their name called or spend much time in the spotlight. Sometimes as a fan you would like to see the scoring continue, but in this case I think you have to reward those who deserve it when you have the chance...
  6. I'm not following your math? Seems like you missed Danville's score by 4 and Greens by 7, is there something I'm missing, or did you party a little too hard last night?
  7. That certainly doesn't sound like the FC I know. In their wins over MC the last two years it was there 2nd half domination that made FC so tough... Has depth been a issue at FC this year?
  8. With the win last night, the Falcons have now played 10 extra games in the last 3 years. That's an additional season for the Jr's and Sr's on the team, I don't think you can understate how important that has been for the success of our team and the development of our young guys, not to mention, I think the fans have enjoyed it quite a bit as well…
  9. Hate to see FC's season end, but I know they will put the hard work in and come back bigger, faster and stronger next year...
  10. Make no mistake about it, Ft. Knox has talent and could be a dangerous team next year with a little more depth.
  11. Monroe will be the underdog and will have to play their "A" game, but I agree it should be a good game...
  12. Yip, will be hosting Monroe Co.
  13. Congrats to Danville... I thought it was quite funny that when they announced that Danville was leading our crowd cheered...
  14. My thoughts, Falcons looked good in the first 2 qtrs, need to finish drives with points though, too many drives in the red zone with no points. Defense is getting better and better with each game, we will need to continue that trend next week. Couldn't ask for a better group of coaches than the falcon's have, they have done a great job of progressing this team at the right time. Wither it be practicing defense without a football so the defense is forced to defend their guy not the ball or the offensive scheme that keeps getting better with each game. Fan support for the Falcons is great, the stands were full tonight with the exception of Ft. Knox's side which was quite unimpressive, no base has had a higher deployment rate than Ft. Campbell, yet the community still supports them well and travels with them wherever they may go. That’s not the case at Ft. Knox and the community should step up and get behind their team better than they do... Despite how well the Falcons did tonight they still haven't played that great game from start to finish, they will need that great game next week...
  15. 28-10 Falcons, 11min left in the game
  16. 21- 3 at the half. Falcons looking good on defense, Ft. Knox only points came from a 41 yrd FG.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe North Carolina crown's 8 State Champions, this change to their system took place when I lived there and much of the same grumblings where heard after that change... Bottom line is, my faith for what’s best for KY football lies with the Coach's, AD's and Superintendents and yours doesn't, to me that’s like going to the gardener for stock tips when your neighbor is a investment banker.
  18. I don't think fans opinions are or ever should be considered when the KHSAA makes decisions, fans seem to always have a one-sided view, as in what’s best for the team they follow... The current system is hard to dispute in the areas of money for those involved and added practice and games as well. If your argument is that the current system is watered-down then you may have a point, but personally, I don’t think it’s so watered down that any one should care…
  19. Danville may jump out on Green early, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Green pull it out in the second half. These team are similar in you know what you get with both, so it really comes down to who can stop the other or who has the ball last...
  20. My guess is you’re probably a part of a team that’s already built a program or a basketball fan? Odds of you ever getting it are slim...
  21. Another point I would like to make is how everyone that seems to have these complaints are outsiders to the system and not in a position to be taken seriously, why is it that the powers that be, Coach's, AD's and Superintendents seem to be largely in favor of the current system? Makes you wonder what group the chronic complainers represent...
  22. Some people just aren't happy unless their whining or complaining. To say the current system is watered down may be a legit complaint, but, to say that the amount of teams making the playoffs hurts Kentucky High School football is flat out silly. Any dollar earned for you athletic program is important for funding all the non-producing and title 9 sports, it also seems obvious that as with everything in life, the more you do something the higher the chances are that you'll get better at it, so every practice and game is making the majority of those participating better...
  23. Personally, I think Monroe has finally found their identity with the power running game. Chad Wilson is emerging as a star on both sides of the ball for the Falcons and from here on out he will be instrumental in how far the Falcons can go. I really like the Falcons in the wishbone and the single back shotgun, I think (QB) Jackson is capable of picking up some nice yardage when we spread teams out and can really hurt teams with the scramble/pass by making the defender commit to coming up and stopping Jackson and throwing it over the defense we he does commit. The real Question for the Falcons is the Defense, but to be honest I think the defense is going to surprise people from here on out, Washington Co. did things that no other team in 2A with the exception of OC can do, I think Ft. Knox will see a tough hardnosed defense when they come to Tompkinsville Friday night and that will be the key for a Falcon victory...
