Bottom line, if UK has contacted Jones and made an offer (who knows if they did or didn't) then there is interest from both parties. It may not be on the same level but there is interest...

Isn't his "opinion" directly tied to his profession? Point is GT is supposed to be connected, he made some bold statements and has had to back peddle ever since. It all comes back to no one really knows anything the people involved don't want you to know...

True, but GT has went from comparing UK's interest in Jones to his interest in Mila Kunis... That's my only point...

I wouldn't give him that much credit. Just a few days ago he implied Jones to UK was a waste of breath. He's treading creditability waters in my book...

^^^ Thanks and thanks... Monroe scrimmaged Wayne and IMO Monroe and Wayne are built in the same mold on defense, the Falcon defense is the key for Monroe. If they can create some extra possessions, and not give up the big play I think they got a shot...

What's the scouting report on Central? What did LaRue do to keep that game close? Why did their starting QB not play against Bell Co.?

It's a stretch no doubt... I think it's as likely that we hold them to ten as is that we score more than 21 on their defense. Our best chance to win is like I said above, we need to grind it out and limit their TOP. If we don't convert third downs or move the ball well it's going to be a long night. My point holds true though, since I've on this board I can never remember one good thing you've said about Monroe, in fact I would say you've been Monroe's biggest critic, you only show up when the cards are stacked against them and its never to speak on the sunny side of the Falcons... But you're certainly entitled to your opinion and its always been a well informed one, just wish you weren't such a curmudgeon when it comes to Monroe.

I'm going with Monroe. Central will be the favorite and should be, they are head of the class in 3A and it will take a huge effort from the Falcons. Central's defense is quick and stout, Monroe will have to grind it out and try to average 3 yards a carry and maybe break a big play or two. A perfect game for the falcons would be 200 yards rushing, 75 yards passing, 10 first downs and win time of possession. On defense the Falcons will have to play assignment football and secure the edges. Hopefully the falcons can get a turn over and limit big plays from Central if they can they can get the victory... I'm not sure I completely agree. I think with the right guy we can get top talent out of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Best case scenario in GA, SC, and FL is we keep playing second fiddle and get the left-overs. That has never and IMO will never get UK where they need to be, I'm ready for a radical shift in philosophy. I think UK needs to go north and west and try to establish themselves as the SEC school for talent in the north and mid west... KSU, ND, OU, Michigan, Rutgers etc don't recruit the south and have had success. UK needs to use their geography as an advantage. Butch Jones, Rich Rod and Jim Tressel would all help achieve that...

Game went like most figured it would. SW was a different team on defense and coach Nelson did a great job bringing the best defense he could assemble. SW still struggled to move the ball well on the falcons, the falcons didn't give up the lone SW TD until about 25 seconds were left on the game clock. Great effort by the falcon defense yet again... Everything from this point on is "gravy on the biscuit", Monroe wasn't expected to be here by anyone outside of Monroe, I knew we had a chance to be in this position for the simple fact Coach Petett said we would, he's great at assessing his team and knowing what's he's got and he told the crowd at the blue/white scrimmage that if the falcons stay healthy we would be playing for a regional championship on our field, kudos to him for knowing what he's got and knowing the landscape around him... Congrats to SW on a great season for a second year program, their good enough now that they need to play in the class they belong.

If there's a coach out there that isn't a control freak then I don't want him.... What went on at PSU was a monster praying on kids and cowards doing nothing about it... Pardon me for not seeing the similarities to Petrino's misconduct...

I'm having a different problem. When using forumrunner on my iPad part of the screen won't work. It's always the area by the home button and the area extends out about two inches past the home button. It's not always like that and I only have that problem with forumrunner on my iPad not my iPhone?

You're right. But the only reason he got caught was because he was under the microscope. Had he been a CEO of a Fortune 500 company he would have been able to cover it up, buy his wife a diamond and go on about his life. Society is funny that way, we put more emphasis on the moral fabric of a football coach than we do the leaders of this country.... See Bill Clinton...

Funny how morals become such a factor when considering a football coach. And we're not talking a peewee football coach or even high school coach, we're talking about a coach who will be coaching men. If those men are so fragile and impressionable that they have to have a priest as their mentor then they should probably lock theirselves away and hide from the world. The fact of the matter is this world is full of people with poor morals, some of this country's most successful people have been considered to have poor morals. Its a fact of life that I'm surprised so many people have issues with. I have spent many years of my life around people with poor morals and the impact it's had on me in a negative way is zero. If anything it's made me a better person. Does coach Petrino have poor morals, of course he does. The only difference in him and everyone else is he has spent most of his life under a microscope.

What's the story with the trophies?

I saw East in action against Monroe and didn't believe they were the better team. I didn't think Monroe played well at all and would have bet that if they played again Monroe would have won. I'm a believer in East now. East just made Monroe look bad that night and that was quite the accomplishment IMO.

Monroe will be playing in their 4th regional championship in 5years. That experience IMO will be what will help the Falcon get the victory on Friday night. SW is a good team that will have to be taken seriously, Roe blasted them earlier in the season but the circumstances have changed and our strength seems to be depleted a little. SW has playmakers that can hurt the falcons, so it will be critical that the defense plays solid assignment football. Roe 28 SW 14

Congrats to East. Tough night for Paducah teams with LO and PT going down...

Somewhat shocked... At this level match-up's are key, SW matched up well with what FC was best at. SW is no doubt a solid team, they'll be a load next week, but we'll do the best we can to make sure a Falcon wins the region... Congrats on another good season FC.

Would have rather had Fort Campbell next week... I like the FC program and it's going to be hard to get our guy's to understand this will be a different SW team than the one we beat 41-0...
