Monroe dominates with the run game!

Monroe Co. came up with 35 points in the second quarter to put this one away. It was 14-14, and Monroe scored on a 50-yard TD run by Neil Wilson to make it 21-14, then B'town fumbled the ensuing kickoff. It was all downhill from there.

It was a pleasure meeting SemperFiFalcon, TSYoung and their families before the game. Hope we get to do it again soon, and good luck to the Falcons next week in Greensburg. :thumb:

I noticed tonight that the back of our woodshed needs painting.

This was an entertaining game . . . for about a quarter and a half. It was 14-14, neither team could stop the other, the stands were full of energy, Monroe scored, Harper fumbled the ensuing kickoff . . . and we lost all 4 wheels off of both axles. I dunno. Give 'em the ball 4 times inside your 20 and things statisitcally don't work out for you.

On a more positive note, Bardstown got a lot of great experience for a lot of freshman and sophomores this year. While we lose Harper, Willett, McMackin, Poynter and Hall, we return Whitfield, Cosby, Culver, Butler, Lyvers, Cramer, Lackey, Koontz, Farrell, Shrewsbury, Pierce, and Mayberry, all of whom were starters or saw significant time on both sides of the ball, and also Keith Mattingly back from injury. The lineman must get a ton stronger and a whole lot meaner, and Butler needs to get with Coach Clark right now to improve his game. I think we could be very good next year. Congratulations to those seniors. I hope some of them can hook on with a little college ball some where.

Congratulations to Monroe County. It was a pleasure seeing tsyoung, semperfifalcon, Vickery's mom, and the others at dinner. Hope your drive home was safe and enjoyable. I guess I can say Go Roe Go over the Dragons next week.

Congrats to the MC Falcons on the win!

Hope to see you soon!

Later.

Congrats MC Falcons!! Good Luck against Green!!!

Go Roe Go, congrats Falcons

First of all thanks to Hearsay and Jim Schue for their fabulous hospitality, as always they rolled out the red carpet for us southern folk...

Congratulations to a very young and talented Bardstown squad! Look forward to seeing you guys in the future. The atmosphere in the stadium was very thick tonight with excitement, but that all changed after the first quarter. The tigers were all in untill the fumble on the kick-off. After that, it was all Falcon's after that!

Good win for the Falcons!!!

A good win for the Falcons. We ran the ball at will and made a few passes to keep Defense honest. A little flat on Defense to start game but picked it up as game went along. Bardstown hung tough for a while but after fumbled kick-off seems like the wheels came off. Bardstown played hard teh entire game and Garrett is a fine football player.

Congratulations to the Falcons.

You mean Harper...he was number 6 and the kid seemed to me that he was Bardstown's deadliest weapon. I hope he decides to go on and play ball at the next level!

My bad got Green Co. on the mind . Yes Harper is a real good football player on both sides of the ball. Right now all I can say is beat Green Co.

Harper is a good football player, at times I felt sorry for the load that young man was having to bare. He took a few good shots and its clear his is a tough kid...

The highlight of the trip to Bardstown had to be meeting Hearsay and Jim Schue, two fine fellows that I would definitely call friends.

As for my thoughts of Bardstown, IMO the talent is there but their young and undersized, both of which will change quickly. They run a good offense (the type that gives us trouble, see Franklin Simpson), and with the right personnel they will be hard for anyone to stop. Good luck to Bardstown next year, maybe the Tigers can get another District Title…

Does anyone know how many points the Falcons scored in the last 5min's of the 2nd qtr? It seemed like it went from 14-14 to 42-14 in a flash...

A few of my thoughts from the game...

The DE's played their best game of the season last night, they play that good against Green and we have a good shot to win.

The offense is working great right now, the weapons the Falcons have is remarkable.

Coach Petett is a playoff coach, his passion is undeniable. I hope he coach's the Falcons for many more years.

Fan support is great for the Falcons, there will be standing room only at Green Co.

Defense played well for 2.5 quarters, but still some missed tackles and blown assignments, but overall I give them an A-.

Bardstown should have had more fans than they did.
