Monroe County/Glasgow Predictions
Can't wait for Friday to get here. Glasgow has always been a rival of Monroe/Tompkinsville and the way I see it we still owe them a few. I hope this group of Falcons feels the same way, and I hope the crowd is ready to get loud for this game. This game reminds me of the song the old timers used to sing, it’s not appropriate for BGP but it involved a spoon and howling at the moon… Good times…

Washington County/Danville Predictions?
If Danville loses this game they will have to play their first playoff game on the road, when was the last time Danville did that?

Bardstown 17 Danville 15
Is it safe to say the district is wrapped up with Bardstown, Danville, Washington and Ft. Knox finishing in that order? Or is it possible Washington beats Danville?

Monroe County/Glasgow Predictions
Who knows what to think on this one... Over the years I've seen Glasgow beat us when they shouldn’t have and vice versa, I have no doubt that Monroe is the better team, however, I also know that Glasgow WILL bring their “A” game and Monroe had better bring theirs or we will lose. I feel like Monroe will be ready to play and hopefully they will channel all the hate and disdain for the Scotties that all the previous Falcons have had, that alone would ensure they are ready to play... Monroe 35 Glasgow 33

Green County/ Metcalfe County Predictions
I think this game might be close for a half or so, but with only 26 players Metcalfe won't have enough in the tank to go four qtr's with Green, and once Green gets the advantage on them they will continue to pour it on in typical Green Co. fashion... Green 47 Metcalfe 13

Fort Knox Football - Community feeds Eagles ‘Losing Streak’
I don't buy it... I played against Ft. Knox in their good years when they had Derik Homer and we had to play them at Ft. Knox, at that time they had great community support and the Military on that base really helped to stoke the intimidation factor. If you want better support, field a better team. It's hard for a community to have swagger when your team doesn’t allow you to back it up... In other words lack of fan support is a consequence of losing 38 strait, not a contributor...

Would Highlands Rather play in the GCL or in Kentucky?
A lot of holes in this statement if you ask me... One being the emotional high of beating Trinity, news flash this isn't your typical Trinity and they knew/now it... Also wasn't this a game between two top 15 teams in the country? Wasn't this game on national TV for a reason? Hogwash they over looked them... It's this kind of arrogance that you often find at schools like St. X that will always cause me to pull for a team like Highlands when they play those schools.

Franklin-Simpson 35 Monroe County 28
I agree… Once we made the adjustments and crowded the box we did real well against the run. IMO we won’t face another team this year with as many weapons in the backfield as FS had. All things considered I'm quite pleased with a lot of things from last night, the most impressive was the heart they showed… Go Roe beat Glasgow!

Franklin-Simpson 35 Monroe County 28
Franklin Simpson played well and exposed us with the wing-t, the first half FS searched their playbook in search of something that would be effective against our defense, it was clear what the answer to that was, the Wing-T. The second half they came out and ran nothing but the Wing-T and scored 21 points in the third qtr. Finally in the fourth qtr we made adjustments on defense and started to stop FS's momentum and cut the lead to 7 and had the ball with about 1:30 left on the clock, but the drive ended with a Monroe interception. Long story short, the adjustment on defense was too little too late, down 21 with one qtr to play was just too big a mountain to climb. The other side of the story is, I seen this Monroe team get better right before my eyes tonight, they could have given up down 21, but they chose to fight and that’s what they did. I think the Falcons had 3 turnovers and FS recovered 2 onside kicks as well, so with all things considered I'm not going to get too down over this loss, sure adjustment could have been made sooner, tackling could have been better and we could have played smarter but what I seen in the fourth qtr was very promising and I think it's a good sign of what we can expect in the last three games. Congrats to FS and good luck the rest of the season...

Green County/ Lone Oak Predictions
How are they at picking up the blitz? Green is a little undersized on the OL/DL but quick off the ball and they play with a lot of grit...

Green County/ Lone Oak Predictions
Green definitely plays with a chip on their shoulder, that can be a good thing if harnessed, but we've seen it go too far and cost them with stupid penalties as well...

Green County/ Lone Oak Predictions
Green's ground game has me thinking this will be a low scoring game (mid 20’s), if Green Co's coach's have any sense they will try and chew the clock with long drives and limit Lone Oaks possession’s, the worst thing Green can do is give Lone Oak to many possessions because they will score...

Green County/ Lone Oak Predictions
As much as I hate to say it Green Co. is a solid football team that does several things well, I think Lone Oak is a good football team but I don't think there as close to Fort Campbell as Coach Griff claimed on the post game show Friday night, they (Lone Oak) will however be a big test for Green. Not knowing anything about Lone Oak makes it hard to make a prediction, but Lone Oak had better come to play because I assure you Green will...

Monroe County/ Franklin-Simpson Predictions
On a different note, I have been thinking all weekend about what we could have done different against Metcalfe, and besides from the obvious of just being mentally prepared I think we really have to do a better job of getting Neil Wilson involved, Metcalfe basically double teamed him all night and said you may beat us but not with him. Then I was thinking of ways to get him the ball despite being double teamed, I happened to be watching Boise State play and they do some pretty creative stuff to get their playmakers the ball, one play in particular stood out to me, it was basically a triple option but the WR (Neil) ran a delayed in route and Boise's QB made a shuffle pass to him that went for a big gain I think it could be a big play at the high school level, the biggest challenge would be keeping the lineman from going down field, but I have no doubt the appearance of the option would suck all the defenders in allowing Neil to get behind them, not to mention that once that play works the defense will be reluctant to crash the option the next time making it more successful as well. I guess the point I took forever to make is, IMO to be as successful as we can be we need to get our best players the ball ...

Monroe County/ Franklin-Simpson Predictions
Should be a good game, Monroe is more balanced but Franklin-Simpson is a very quick team and are a dangerous running team. It’s going to take much better OL/DL play from the Metcalfe game, but I think they will rise to the occasion... Monroe 28 Franklin-Simpson 22
