Wireman Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Wow, that's impressive. I wonder if I'll get any votes for Mr. Basketball this season?

Commander 25 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Unreal maybe that should show us what the AP votes really mean.
Wireman Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Only if you have a vote.:jump: My vote is already promised to John Calipari :thumb:
FC Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 At least they didn’t vote for Flaget. Seriously though, you would think if you’re given the responsibility as an AP voter that you would at least know what schools are still in existence.
The Scribe Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Kentucky AP Football Poll for this week 1. Flaget 2. Lynch 3. Cumberland 4. Richmond Madison 5. Tompkinsville 6. Mount Sterling 7. Old Kentucky Home 8. Whitesburg 9. Laurel County 10. Louisa Others receiving long, long past due votes -- Jessamine County, Henderson City, Harrodsburg, Evarts, Bishop David, Cawood, Durrett.

Hey, you forgot North Marshall, Greenville and Gamaliel ...
gchs_uk9 Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 It appears the Harlan Daily Enterprise voted in full-force this week. Per AP Policy, they voted three times this week For what it's worth, it is amazing how many good teams Harlan County has produced over the years. Between Lynch, Cumberland, Evarts, Cawood and Harlan, that place has played a lot of good football.
MexicanBob Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) Just goes to show that the AP HS poll in Ky isn't worth the paper it's printed on. It's voted on by sports writers (and all deferrence to HDE whose opinion is respected), most of the sports writers at the daily papers in KY know very little about sports, and if they do it's restricted to their own teams that they cover (obviously someone is still covering Muhlenberg South). gchs_uk9 Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Hey, you forgot North Marshall, Greenville and Gamaliel ... AP is biased against western Kentucky.

That's a bunch of crap. The David School and MMI definitely got hosed in these rankings!
