TheLegends64 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Danville is very bad this year to say the least.
Wireman Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 1-6 now I do believe I'm from Danville so I'll keep my mouth shut, but there are some strange things going on.
LCPATS Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Danville is very young and very small. It's a rarity to see them this down, but it happens to every program at some point. They'll be back...

TheLegends64 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Well, however it goes Coach Harp deserves every chance to turn things around.
titletownclown Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 It is my opinion that there are several bigger problems besides just being young and small. I've never seen the attendance at Admiral Stadium as weak as it has been this year. Wow. Wireman, did the Ads EVER use those timeouts at the end of the game or did they save em for next week?

Let's just say that if they earned points for timeouts, the outcome would've been different :thumb:
Jim Schue Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Pretty good game, good defensive battle. Harper was big, literally and figuratively, in this game. He had a huge fourth quarter. Both teams made a lot of mistakes. Nice heads-up play by the Bardstown lineman to cover the fumble in the EZ in the first half. Tigers coughed it up four times, but managed to not lose any, and turned one into 6 points.
Jim Schue Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Thanks to my friends AA, TTC and Wireman in Danville for their wonderful hospitality. I hope I can return the favor soon. :thumb:
Blackshirts Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Great programs have down years form time to time. All most every program in the state has had a down year or two. The thing is great programs all way get back to that championship level sooner or later.

Wireman - don't try elude to something you know nothing about. If you have something to say, step out from behind your anonymous name and let the coaching staff know what you are talking about. Don't set on a message board and try to stir problems. Try to help and not tear down.

Try to help and not tear down. The only thing I would question the coaching staff on is why they had 3 timeouts at the end of the first half, but let the clock evaporate without using them. I would ask the same question at the end of the game when Danville was behind by 2 points and had the ball with 2 timeouts, but only got off 2 plays in 1:00 minute. Other than that, I can't say much about the coaching staff. Harp has done it before and he'll do it again. I was a little surprised when I rolled in and there was only about 100 people on the home side and 30 on the visitor side. I know it was chilly, but that is just weird for a Danville game.
