10 Good
  1. Just to clear up the speculation of how he left please read this article. Anyone that knows Sam knows he always put his team first.Danville superintendent says coach Sam Harp told her three weeks ago he might be leaving - centralkynews.com
  2. Danville always plays with 12 guys on the field every week - we have our own "Ghosts in Blue" from all of the past years alumni. Good luck to all.
  3. Dont get to excited about "the system". It has been around for quite a while now, and only 1 team who truly ran it has won a state title. Many more teams (even in the past few years ) have won titles playing smashmouth rather than "the system".
  4. You make some valid points. Although, I don't agree with all of them, I do with some. I am confident the ship will get righted.
  5. Maybe you should go and offer your coaching services since you think you have it figured out.
  6. How do you make that assessment?
  7. The retired coaches you mentioned did a good job, but Danville has won several state titles after their retirement, so I don't think that is much of a contributing factor. I believe you are right about some lesser talent coming through. When you are a small school, the talent pool can sometimes shift, especially when you have a couple of classes back to back that are not very talented. It's pretty amazing to me it hasn't happened at Danville in a very long time. I agree that some of the players have little discipline and dedication. I understand that Harp is putting the hammer down to either get with the program or get out. I am not going to talk about Dunn anymore. He's gone. It's what have you done for me today. This forum will long be forgotten with some wins. Just ask Mayfield. People were questioning their staff and players a year ago, just like those that are questioning Danville now.
  8. How can you start and play for your high school basketball team on Saturday and then on Monday walk out of school and go to your rival school without telling any of your teammates or your coaches what you are doing? Looks fishy.
  9. It's amazing that some of you think a program that just played in the State Championship 3 football seasons ago, is now in decline. Most programs never make it once. Danville has been there 10 times in Harp's 22 years. That averages a trip to the state finals every 2.2 years. The only thing going on with this transfer is with the young man and his parents. They are looking for instant gratification and have their own agenda at heart and not with the team. Why else would he move after having attended the Danville School system from kindergarten until now? The parents are not moving and the father does not even have custody. Danville has only 3 losing seasons since 1924 and ranks 30th on the National All-Time Win list and 10 State Championship Titles. That should be pretty good in anybody's book. Especially, considering that 95% of their non-district opponents are schools that double or triple Danville in enrollment. Most schools their size won't play them. Let's don't jump ship.
  10. Danville defense was non-factor vs Scotties. Dragons will be foaming at the mouth to abuse Admirals.
  11. Falcons to good for Bardstown?? Should be with all the injured Tigers
  12. How will Danville be able to play with Green. By the power ratings on Ky preps Green is a huge favorite. Will this game be competitive?
  13. Based on most power ratings the southwestern portion of the region should win every game. If the bardstown district can win 1 or 2 it will be a miracle (based on stats)
  14. Are their any chances of Danville upsetting Glasgow.
