Green County 61 Danville 22

Featured Replies

Green ran wild on Danville, just like I said they would. This ain't the Danville of old!

Wow.

I thought it would be closer.

I expect Danville to be a much better team next year.

We shall see......

Wow... How the table has turned.

And Danville might just put up 61...???

I am sure this statement was made that Danville might put this number up against Green...I am pretty sure that this was the exact number the Dragons put up against the Ads!!! It is completely obvious to a lot of us that District three is a little better this year, not saying that this is true every year, but this year yes! Green beats Danville 61-22, Monroe beats Bardstown 49-14. And Bardstown beat Danville for the District title....:ohbrother:

Looks like another Falcon-Dragon Regional!!! :thumb:

The 39-point playoff loss is the worst ever for a Danville team. The previous worst was 23 to Corbin in 1990. Danville had never allowed more than 40 points in a playoff game before this one

Wow I knew that Green would win but never thought it would be by 39 points. Was Green just that good on that given night or did Danville play that poor???

Danville finished the season 5-7. They don't have that star running back and those big monsters on their defense that they had years ago. Maybe they will be better next year, but they will still be a long way behind the Danville teams of old.

Agree Bardstown and Danville are just average teams at this time and Monroe and Green are best teams in region. Bardstown has a fine player Garrett and will give their team credit played hard whole game. Danville fans are going to have to get used to fact they are nor the Danville of old. Also add Glasgow to the mix next year because they played mostly under classmen.

Congratulations to Green Co

My bad called NO. 6 for Bardstown Garrett instead of Harper. Harper is a good player on both sides of the ball. My mind already on Green and their Garrett sorry to the Bardstown player for getting his name wrong.

There was talk that Green County had suffered a pair of big injuries during the big loss at Lone Oak ... or was that just talk? I would think so, given the way they've rebounded since then.

They are not the Danville of old so remember that, the Danville of old would have shut Green County's offense down. I did see some bright spots on offense in this game, and might have seen more if the defense had not played so soft and given the offense more traction. Hats off to Green County they have an agressive confident veteran team. But I wouldn't get used to dominating Danville, they have about everybody back and a lot of good young talent coming up. Coach Harp is going to have to have a heart to heart talk with some of those defensive guys, there were about five on defense last night who don't have the aggressive mentality it takes to play championship football and if you saw the game it was very evident who I'm talking about by the way they tackled. I hope a year of maturity will help.:madman:

I think everyone in the Danville/Boyle County area knows this isn't the Danville of old and that there is a different cycle of talent going through right now, however, they can still be a successful program and put together a good team without necessarily being "the Danville of old". If they aren't much improved next year, then the problem is deeper than one of being "the Danville of old."

I attended this game and it should have been much closer. There is no dout who the better tam was. But Danville had all the shots in the world to make this one close. The Ads threw a pick right before the end of the 1st half ball was on about the 5, then on 4th and 1 the QB drops the ball Green takes over. Congrads to the Dragons and Good luck next week against Monroe. And Green is just that that good.
