Nope 299

What are you implying PP92?

Well, people in the Danville area do not seem to be as enthusiastic or as encouraging to the Danville football program as they once were. Blame is being thrown around and while I have no idea where it lies(I am a Boyle County Rebel on the outside looking in), I just wonder if the kids/parents/fans even care or buy in to being a Danville Admiral the way they used to. When I hear "the Danville of old" being used, this team definitely isn't the "Danville of old" when it comes to heart, it seems. The talent is there but I question the heart and the commitment of the kids/parents/fans. I have heard people saying they were disgusted with the way some of the players treated last Friday's loss. How does that get fixed?

People like ThinThirty who take being an Admiral to heart and will take it to the grave are disappearing. I think in some ways it is affecting the program and I think it is showing up on the field. They definitely have the talent to be better than what they were this year and with the bulk of that talent coming back next year and more experienced, if they aren't better than what they showed this year, then what exactly is the problem? It wouldn't make sense to me for Danville to not be one of the top 4 teams in 2A next year, IMO.

This years Danville team just goes to show that seasons like this happen to everybody, even if it's once every 30+ years. That's it. Sam Harp will have the Admirals back in the state championship hunt next year, no doubt. You can take that to the bank.

There was talk that Green County had suffered a pair of big injuries during the big loss at Lone Oak ... or was that just talk? I would think so, given the way they've rebounded since then.

I think at the time of the Lone Oak game that it was just that, talk. However, word is that one of their best players is gutting the year out somehow, someway with a torn ACL. One of their RB's maybe? Playing and playing well at that, on torn ACL's are something few and far between, rarely heard of. So, I dont know how much truth there is to that, could be though?

No it wasnt talk. One of them has a tore ACL an MCL. But still plays. The other had lower back problems but also plays. Of course they couldn't sit the senior year out.

Great job Dragons. Good luck the rest of the way. Bunch of folks in LO are impressed!:thumb:
