The Ads are one of my favorite teams in KY to watch and I hope they can turn things around. They have a top notch coaching staff that has shown they can coach. They will bounce back, if not this year, then hopefully they will reap the benefits down the road of playing so many young guys now.

Bardstown is 3-4, and surviving with a banged up Harper, with Willett out, and Poynter recovering. If all 3 of those guys are healthy come playoff time, Bardstown has a chance, at least, to make some noise. One can't help but notice the improvement of the defense.

First of all Congratulatons to Bardstown...They Played hard and did not quit!

The Ads also played hard but just could not pull it out...

 

The Ads have to start believing in themselves...The Hardwork and dedication is there.Learn from your mistakes and move on.

Just hard for me to believe that Danville is 1-6.

Is it safe to say the district is wrapped up with Bardstown, Danville, Washington and Ft. Knox finishing in that order? Or is it possible Washington beats Danville?

I'd be shocked if it diverted from that.

To be honest these are the worst Danville and Bardstown teams I've seen since the two have been playing. Neither one will do much in the playoffs. In this game if the Ads tackle Harper around the legs and ankles instead of grabbing at his upper body and the coaching staff doesn't put their players in bad situations with questionable play calls, then Danville wins this game going away. For example, you have a lead and are moving the ball, Why do you throw a half back pass with a player who has no experience throwing the ball, he throws a wounded duck thirty feet in the air which gets intercepted.:idunno:. Then your moving the ball down the field with Will Dunn running a Wild Cat form of offense and decide to go to his weakness and he throws a wounded duck thirty feet into the air and it gets intercepted:idunno:and on both plays you only have one receiver down field.:idunno:. On top of that comes into play not using time outs when you could have. At the end of the first half we litteraly waste 1 minute and 30 seconds:idunno: At the end of the game we don't use the time outs efficiently and waste a lot more time we only needed to get into feild goal range:idunno:. I noticed at the end of the first half coach Harp ripped off his head set after not using the 2 time outs we had available, Does anyone know why he was upset? Maybe he heard some suggestions from the stands he didn't like. These coaches need to evaluate themselves as well as the players, I hope they are not trying to drive square pegs in round holes because of stuborness or pride. I'm sure they are frustrated, along with the players and fans. I have been an Admiral player in the past and fan as long as I can remember I'll support them from now on, but I will also give my opinion when things are messed up., and from what I have heard from other Knowledgeable football fans. The coaches need to take a big part of the responsability to get this team back where it needs to be.:thumb:

My point about tackling is seen in the pictures of the game posted on the home page of this web site. # 20 tackles harper around the legs and feet and saves a touchdown. #8 tries to grab Harper around the upper body, he gets stiff armed and Harper goes fo a big gain probably the one that put them in field goal range and kicked the winning field goal.

Bardstown has some talent, but has a lot of injured key personnel and little depth right now on either line. With continued progress, I am hopeful of success come playoff-time. Harper was not a full strength Saturday night, but I was told that Coach Harp was impressed with his effort.

 

A Bardstown player told me that the players for Danville were squabbling and yelling at each other on the field all night long. That seems atypical for a Harp-coached team, and perhaps points to some of the things Wireman suggested earlier.

There are problems and it is very apparent. I have no inside info or anything like that so I won't even try to speculate, but it is very obvious to everyone that things aren't running smoothly.

It's pretty much an atypical team from top to bottom this year.

I may be wrong, but isn't this the first year Danville has had white helmets? I always though they were silver. That may be the reason...
