I think Ray still lives in that area. If I were Ray I'd leave LCA too. The new district is really tough, plus there is a new administration that can be hard to work under.

The call was on the defender and he was in the free block zone.

There was one other time this season when these penalties where called. They were called against Danville in the second half after the officials were talked to by Sam Harp. Looks like having over 300 wins carries a lot of weight with officials. This did not win the game for either team, just hate that people can be manipulated so easily.

The call was wrong. Referee made up his own explanation says the cut block by the defense must be at the same time "simultaneous" as the snap, which is NOT in the rule book anyway. If there is literature somewhere stating something different I would love to be educated on it. If you want to read the rule please see my other post.

The rule reads as follows....There is a free blocking zone that is located in a rectangular shape around the ball. The dimensions are 4 yards on each side of the ball and 3 yards behind and in front of the ball. Within that zone blocking below the waist is legal if: 1. Both players were within the free block zone at the snap 2. The ball does not leave the zone. All of the blocking below the waste penalties were called on counter plays where the ball is held by the quarterback while two OL pull. The ball never leaves the area. The ONLY exception is when the ball leaves the free block zone. Garrard County did the same technique in the first half as in the second half. Which included there small OLB which were always on the line of scrimmage and always came flat. At half time Coach Haywood was talking very aggressively with the refs and then the guy on there sideline threw all 4 flags which costs 60 yards in penalties. There were also 3 penalties called on Belfry which were waved off. 2 of the penalties resulted in touchdowns. 1 penalty was called on Garrard when a player from Belfry hit him in the back and he fell over a pile, that was going to be a late hit on Garrard but was waved off. Belfry is a good team, coach Haywood is a great coach and used his accomplishments to manipulate the officiating crew. I'm not sure how such a poor officiating crew was assignment to such a big game, I really hope they learn the rules in the future.

No chance. Bring a lawn chair. There is good seating on the soccer field which is probably 20 feet above the football field and has a hill to sit on as well.

The clocked does not stop, except on penalities, after scores, and time outs. Other than that it does not stop. Even if the team comes back. It would be very difficult for a team to comeback during a running clock. It starts in the 2nd half but not the 1st half I believe.

Powell has lived on turnovers the last two weeks. There were 8 turnovers by LC, including onside kicks. Bourbon had 4 plus a punter tackled inside the 30, plus 1 was returned for a TD. Turnovers or lack there of will play a big role in the game.

I think Catholic has to much offensive fire power for Boyle.

Two words: Ryan Timmons. The kid is a player. If FC can get him the ball it's game over for Conner.

Bourbon is the favorite for sure. Fleming need Bourbon to turn the ball over and slow down Hopkins to have a chance.

Has Powell given up? If so Lewis will get revenge if not Powell can win again at Lewis County. The scores the past two weeks make me think Lewis will win.

Unbelievable. A team loses a couple games in a season and everyone has something to say. Fans are so fickle it's ridiculous. McGlone should stay as long as he wants to. Maybe the players aren't as great this year, but still good. They lost to Lewis, Raceland, Ironton, and Ashland. All four are either decent or good teams.

The Woodford game last year. He kept letting Woodford score so the running clock would not set in and Jude could get the all time state rushing record for a game. Obviously the guy is trying to get Jude the all time rushing record for a career.

Both teams have been playing pretty well. Woodford is a really big surprise to me. I would say East's success will rely on the shoulders of Cameron Thomas.

This is great for UL and if he wants to stay close to home and great decision. UL is greeting a really good QB. Lexington Catholic has had some really good QB's. Their college careers have not been spectacular, but they have been okay.

Both teams aren't very good. I would give the edge to McCreary Central.

Yes he will. Lexington Catholic is looking up with him and Bush the WR coming through. There offense should be good. The question will be about there defense.

Probably 6'2. Kid is deceptively fast. Good arm. Good accuracy.
