Agree or Disagree with the decision by Coach Warner?

 

I think you have to practice onside kicks and it could be difference in winning and losing a game in the playoffs so I agree with Coach Warner working on it.

 

On a side topic, I remember Chuck Smith took some heat for onside kicking when he was up by a fair amount but then I believe he did it later that same year when it mattered and the onside kick was successful. My point is, it makes sense to practice onside kicks and the score that Coach Warner did it at shouldn't matter at all.

No problem with it at all. As a coach you dont want your team to have a losing mentality. If you dont get the onside though, you might want to expect a score the other way because of the short field.

Down 56 fine. Up 56 come on, really. Your just trying to embarrass the other team. Practice in practice. Heck I bet Boyle's 2nd team would give them a better look than most teams.

63-14 and it is always ok for the losing team to try to score.

We agree to disagree. An onside kick down 49 is competing until the game is officially over. Not really a hard concept.

I don't have a problem with the onside kick. The job of the offense is to score. And if Ryle felt that was the best way to do it, then they should do it.
