Very tough game.

They seem to score a lot and also give up a lot.

They average a little over 50 points a game and give up roughly 20..some of those come from late scores in the 4th quarter.

As I look at the FC schedule, a few things stick out.

 

1) 1 6A opponent (Nelson County who finished 1-9).

2) Opponents record 44-55.

3) Only played two teams with winning records of which one (Woodford Co) did not make the playoffs.

4) Two of their opponents finished with records of 1-9 (Nelson Co. and W. Jessamine).

 

They have rolled through a very soft schedule and imo Conner's schedule has been much more challenging with their opponents going 53-47 with 4 6A opponents of which 3 are still playing. I gotta believe that if Conner can sustain some long drives and control the TOP, finish + in the TO category, then they have a great opportunity in front of them.

Two words: Ryan Timmons. The kid is a player. If FC can get him the ball it's game over for Conner.

^No question that Timmons is a very talented player. Like I said earlier, if Conner can win the TOP and sustain some long drives, then Timmons opportunities will be limited. That is the key to the game imo. Keep him off the field.

East Jessimine was a pretty Good team before Cameron Thomas got hurt and even with him rushing for 370 Plus yards they still lost 40-29 to franklin county..It is just an assumption but an East Jessimine team with Cameron Thomas probably beats Conner but we'll never know i guess.

 

Also Franklin County overall is probably in a better district which when East Jessimine had Cameron Thomas that was a definate.. Montgomery a 4 seed beat cooper who won conners district and montgomery is average.
