The consensus seems to be that because maupin and mckaskill aren't D1 recruits they aren't good they're only decent. They torched Conner last night. And everyone else they've played. Maupin probably has nearly 700 hundred hards receiving and has 10 touchdowns ( that's just recieving ) and mckaskill has probably over 15 touchdowns total with big yardage. Hammer maybe you should conceed that Conner simply might not be as a great as you made them out to be (but still good) if they couldn't contain players who apparently aren't threats.

Roberts scored two TD's on Conner last year how do you not have to worry about him? You think Timmons put up 48 by himself?

You know, it's not often you score 48 points, accumulate over 500 yards of total offense ( timmons likely had 300 by himself ) and lose by 36. FC also had almost double digit turnovers that game last year too. There was no point last year or this year that they looked that bad as a team. That's probably why most have said it was a fluke

Timmons in one of his games this year scored 7 touchdowns with only 10 touches and they were all over 40 yards. Against woodford county. If thats not other worldly idk what is.

Maybe short of James Quick ( Maybe) Ryan Timmons is better than any reciever thats on that list. Over 2000 yards of total offense and 30 plus touchdowns by himself.

East Jessimine was a pretty Good team before Cameron Thomas got hurt and even with him rushing for 370 Plus yards they still lost 40-29 to franklin county..It is just an assumption but an East Jessimine team with Cameron Thomas probably beats Conner but we'll never know i guess. Also Franklin County overall is probably in a better district which when East Jessimine had Cameron Thomas that was a definate.. Montgomery a 4 seed beat cooper who won conners district and montgomery is average.

If Bell county can outrun Harlan county what in the world do you think Timmons is going to do to them?...it'll be a field day.

They average a little over 50 points a game and give up roughly 20..some of those come from late scores in the 4th quarter.

hmmm, is it bad that i wasnt overly impressed with them? John Hardin looks like the more physical, hungry team to me. Man i cant wait until they (hopefully) play.

IMO its pretty obvious that John Hardin, Bowling Green, Franklin County and Harlan County are the best teams in 5A and will be in the semi-finals. I predict Bowling Green and Franklin County to be in the state championship which takes nothing away from Harlan at all but if you've ever seen Franklin County play there are only a handful of teams in the state who can match their speed and excecution play for play and position by position. They should cruise to the semi finals esspecially is their defense plays like it has been the last two weeks...Harlan county is HUGE though and montgomery county's size was a bit of a problem for the flyers, same with East Jessimines size. should be a great game....i will be attending the Bowling Green/Lex Cath game tonight lol.

Yeah it would turn out that if you look at Franklin County's media guide in 1979 they scores indicate that they went 11-1 but the record underneath says 9-3, perhaps just an error and even if it wasnt, that happened so long ago that no one really even talks about it or seems to remember lol.

Yeah you have a valid point, the flyers if they run the table and go 10-0 wont see anyone top tier in 5A in the playoffs atleast until the regional championship and i believe JH and Bowling Green are on the other side of the bracket.

A very slow first half for the flyers after being down 21-7 halftime. What is most impressive is that the defense litterally shut down East Jessimine in the 3rd and the 4th quarter with the exception of one TD run by Cameron Thomas who is an excellent running back.

For Franklin County I would honestly make the case that Woodford and Harrison are bigger and more important rivals than Frankfort and Western Hills (even though Harrison wouldn't schedule Franklin County this year )

EyeInTheSky not to take anything away from the panthers which they do have a history of going deep in the playoffs every year ( farther thank franklin county ) and they are one of the better programs to have not won a state title...but im pretty sure the flyers would go that deep too if they played 1A competition and not have run into boyle county, Lex. Cath, or Highlands like they have in the past years in the 2nd round.

Franklin County, expect frankforts line to be blown off the ball....frankfort does have some skill kids to match though

4A by far is the most competative class in football no matter what year it seems...esspecially now with highlands in the picture even though bell county moved down a class....you would think 6A would be the most competative but its honestly for whatever reason isnt...i believe nelso county was the last team outside of louisville to win the 6A state title and that was a while ago.
