Maybe not BlueFan. I thought the same, but after some info and checking I found that in 1979 (1980) Seniors the Flyers went undefeated in the regular season. They were 11-0 before losing to Owensboro in the State semi-finals. But man that is so long ago and takes nothing away from the awesome Flyer season so far. This is a special group no doubt. Stay focused Flyers and work hard this week and be ready for Montgomery Co.

Didn't the go undefeated, maybe 7 or 8 years ago?

One year when Donny Walker was the coach they went 9-1 but lost in the middle of the season to Lex Cath. Actually, they were something like 12-1 until running into Catholic or Highlands to end their season. I can't remember if that was Ammons last year or the year before. If it was Ammons last year, it would have been the year they were beating Catholic bad at halftime and lost to the Princeton Spread during the second half with Revere running wild...

By the way, Revere is the only player I have seen faster than Timmons and that includes several speedsters from Male, Fern Creek, and other Louisville schools. This kid is special, as was Revere. I can't wait to see him touch the ball 20 to 25 times in the playoffs, instead of, 10 times a night.

Nope. Good team though.

Montgomery has a good QB that can run and pass. The fullback is huge. Should be a good one. Go Flyers on Senior night. BTW, coaches usually do not like Senior night. Too many distractions. Great group of them at FCHS this year too. Stay focused guys.

Yeah it would turn out that if you look at Franklin County's media guide in 1979 they scores indicate that they went 11-1 but the record underneath says 9-3, perhaps just an error and even if it wasnt, that happened so long ago that no one really even talks about it or seems to remember lol.

Your probaly thinking about the Ammons Junior and senior years, and then the year after he left, FC was 10-2, 9-3, 9-3 those years very good teams, but they had some battles with Lex. Cath, and Highlands in those seasons... one year they got upset in play offs by Harrison County I think.

Sure they do. Ask the group that played then. They all know. History does matter Deuce 1042. Ask around and you will see all teams bring it up. As well they should.

Halftime score Franklin County 27 Montgomery 21...........Ending Score Franklin County 57 Montgomery 36

What's the final answer.....did a Flyer team from years past go undefeated in the regular season?? All I know is what I read in the local paper....I depend on BGP for the facts:thumb:

I believe that one has went undefeated in regular season no team has ever beat 11 wins though.
