If NKY 6A is so average what does that make the rest of 6A outside of Louisville?

I do think NKY 6A is down this year but Ryle and to a lesser extent Simon have done pretty well against 6A teams not name X or T. So with that said, if NKY 6A is so average what does that make the rest of 6A outside of Louisville?

You take T and X out of the equation and 6A statewide is a toss up this year. And it would be most years. Does it mean it's bad football? I dont think so. But it's not on the level that T and X are at. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

X is out of the equation this year! Outside of Trinity, this is the weakest collection of 6A teams, I can ever remember. Without the Rocks, the 6A Top 10 would have a tough time beating the little 1A Top 10. :ohbrother:

I would agree with this. 6A minus T and X is competitive. That does not mean they are very good when compared to some of the other programs considering their numbers. I would have to ask why limit this question to NKY 6A, as it doesn't appear to me Louisville or Lexington 6A is doing any better.

I still say the answer is five classes ... four like we used to have them and Trinity and St. Xavier in 5A by themselves.

And yes, I'm dead serious. If someone had the guts to propose it, I wouldn't be surprised if it passed.

Why should we be penalized in football?

Enrollment advantage ... if any other Kentucky system wants to put a school at 2,500 students or more, then they can compete with Trinity and St. Xavier in 5A.
