UK offered FC junior Ryan Timmons this week.

Actually last week. ^ Very deserving too.

Congrats to Ryan and his family I am sure he will receive many more offers. He is not only an outstanding player. He might even be a better person.

 

As for the game I have been a Flyer fan all season and don'tplan on stopping now.

 

FCHS rolls to the regional final. Good thing is they are home until the finals. Should bold well for this team.

As I look at the FC schedule, a few things stick out.

 

1) 1 6A opponent (Nelson County who finished 1-9).

2) Opponents record 44-55.

3) Only played two teams with winning records of which one (Woodford Co) did not make the playoffs.

4) Two of their opponents finished with records of 1-9 (Nelson Co. and W. Jessamine).

 

They have rolled through a very soft schedule and imo Conner's schedule has been much more challenging with their opponents going 53-47 with 4 6A opponents of which 3 are still playing. I gotta believe that if Conner can sustain some long drives and control the TOP, finish + in the TO category, then they have a great opportunity in front of them.

Both teams utilize a dual-threat QB. I am pretty sure both are 1,000/1,000 rushing and passing.

I think the game will be competitive, but believe that Franklin County will win.

Franklin County's offense will be too powerful for Conner. Even though Conner's strength of schedule is harder than Franklin County, Franklin County 42 Conner 27

We won't have to wait long to find out.

Timmons has rushed and caught for over 1,000 yards a piece. The quarterback is also a dual threat guy that rushed for 3 TD's last week and threw for 3 TD's. They run a variation of the spread that is tough to stop. Should be a good contest, but I think FC will have enough to pull it out in the end. Either way, the winner of this game will play in the state semis IMO.
