Frankfort vs. Franklin County predictions

Featured Replies

Frankfort hosts the undefeated 5A Franklin County. County has scored more points than any other 5A team thus far, can Frankfort slow them down? Thoughts on this one?

Frankfort has athletes in a few positions to compete with Franklin County, just not enough of them. Franklin County pretty much decides what the final score will be.

Franklin Co. 49-17.

Franklin County, expect frankforts line to be blown off the ball....frankfort does have some skill kids to match though

Franklin County may run into a big wall this week if they think they are just gonna walk over the Panthers.. Each year we see a good contest with this heated cross town rivalry.. the atmosphere and mood will be brewing all week. The winner will come down to maturity and execution.. If the panthers are able to wrap up on defense and receive a showing from the offensive front the Panthers will neutralize the high scoring offense behind Ryan Timmons and allow their backs to get to the edge.. If the panthers are not able to execute expect to see the Ryan Timmons show all night.. I am going with the underdog and the Panther Pride Nation to pull out the upset because they are able to realize this game does not make or break their season.. Good luck to both team this Friday, Cant wait to catch this one!

Frankfort: 32

Franklin CO: 21

Go Panthers! :dancingpa

Frankfort should probably just send a check to county and not even show up. I mean who could compete with the mighty Flyers. 5A vs. 1A, is it even really a match. If I'm Franklin County I drop Frankfort and play someone that is going to make me better.

mountrushmore.............don't forget that a 1A (Beechwood) beat a 6A (Simon Kenton) in Week 1 then disposed of a 4A in Week 2.

I disagree with the statement in bold. If I recall Frankfort has beaten Franklin County in the past. I will say this, if FC overlooks Frankfort they will get beat. This is a great rivalry that should continue into the future. Both schools have football history and tradition. I believe that FC should win this game, but that doesn't mean they will. Being the larger school they have the advantage just based on numbers. FC is not short on talent this year, but they have to show up and play hard to defeat a very talented Frankfort High football team. I wish both teams the best of luck, and to stay injury free, but at the end of the night I have to go with Ryan Timmons and the Flyers!!!!!

Yep. Ryan Timmons is all the Flyers have. :thumb:

What are you a Western Hills booster? I mean seriously come on this is a prediction thread not a place for you to come and be sarcastic about the game. Frankfort has competed with Franklin County and beaten them in recent years. I expect this to be a close game in the first half and the Flyers to pull away in the second just to much speed and talent across the board. I will say that I expect this to be a better game then the Western Hills Franklin County game.

That is very disrespectful. I'm going to take The Flyers 42-21, but in all actuality, Frankfort seems to always go deeper in the playoffs and since 2006 they have never lost a district game. Numbers do not lie, but IMO Flyers will take this one, with ease. Frankfort is too "big headed" after their victory over Sheldon Clark. Timmons will get over 200 rushing and over 3 TD's.

Good local rivalries are great for everyone. To have a good rivalry each team needs to win, or a least make a game of it, on a regular basis. Frankfort High has done that, and more!! Games like this keeps all the athletes working hard in the off-season. Always want to be ready for the cross town rival.

EyeInTheSky not to take anything away from the panthers which they do have a history of going deep in the playoffs every year ( farther thank franklin county ) and they are one of the better programs to have not won a state title...but im pretty sure the flyers would go that deep too if they played 1A competition and not have run into boyle county, Lex. Cath, or Highlands like they have in the past years in the 2nd round.

Deuce I agree but Frankfort has played the same type of competition that Franklin Co has just on a smaller scale if you look at the powerhouses that have and currently exist in 1A football you have to tip your hat off to teams like; Beechwood, Mayfield, and at one time Danville there still is competition at the smaller level! Frankforts coaching staff has done a great job preparing their kids for playoff time while it seems that previous county staff has been focused on this one game..
