The Falcons V Falcons rematch has come, this time it's a home game for Fort Campbell, but will be played at Austin Peay University in nearby Clarksville, TN.

Now we can discuss.

Who wins and why?

I have to go with my Fort Campbell Falcons. I think that last night's (20 NOV 09) Regional Championship against the Murray Tigers was a very close, hard-fought game that the FC Falcons needed. Everyone is beatable and if there was ever a smidgeon of "we are unbeatable" in the boys of Fort Campbell, it was erased last night. With that said, I don't think they'll look past Monroe County, and they'll remember how they were down in last years semi-final game and had to fight back for the win.......I don't think they'll let that happen this Friday.

I have to agree Bill, if our young men had an idea that they were unbeatable, I am sure it disappeared in the close game aganst Murray last night. I am sure that Coach Berner will get them on track this week and they will be prepared for Monroe County at APSU.

FC 28

This is a game the other Falcons of Monroe have been playing for for weeks. They are very hungry and yet you will see no excitement out of them until they hit the field. This group of kids is the calm before the storm. The defense has the ability to sworm the ball carriers. They are very quick and very intelligent. Neil Wilson is absolutley a division 1 player at reciever or Db. He has the talent and the intellect to make great things happen. The young offensive line for the Falcons is coming alive at the perfect time. The key positions for the Falcons are started by very fundamental and athletic kids. We have a true freshman starting both ways in Chad Wilson. I am not sure what his parents feed him and his older brother but if they bottled their stuff they can be very rich selling clones!!!! Seriously, I think the world of FC and their fans, if Monroe loses this game they have had a great season, but don't think they won't give Fc all they want. Last year Josh Carter took control of the second half and destoyed Roe. I feel Fc has as much or even more this year, but Roe has many weapons of their own. This is going to be a great game and an awesome showdown between two classy programs!!!!

Good Luck to both, my prediction is Falcons win.......:thumb:

Well said. No doubt FC should be favored but Monroe has a lot of weapons and basically have 4-5 guys that can score at anytime, we know about Andrews and Powell for FC and those guys are great no doubt, but if our defense plays like it did against Green Co. Andrews may have a rough time getting it going against a stingy front line for Monroe. If Andrews can be contained and Monroe can limit their mistakes I have no doubt they can win...

GO ROE GO!!!

Fort Campbell has the best team have shown that the last 3 seasons. If Monreo plays the way they did against Green and can catch a few breaks they will have a shot to win. Congrats to both teams for making it this far and hope to another game like last years just a different winner. Hope I cna meet some of my fellow BGP'S at the game. Good luck to both teams and see you Friday night.

Falcons will win big after a wake-up call last week against Murray.

Fort Campbell 34, Monroe 14! My Falcons will be ready and will play their hearts out. As much as I value Monroe as a good team, I am a die-hard Fort Campbell fan. I just know our guys will pull it out!

Well I am picking the Falcons in this one.

I bet a lot of people would like the odds!!!!!!!:D:clap:

If these are the only two that you know about, then FC will have an easier time than you think. FC has a large number who can score anytime also, Turner, Moreno, Crank, and Allen to name a few more than you had mentioned. FC has a bunch of guys that can and have score at anytime. Also, FC scores on Defense as well as anyone too.

Sorry, is this better?:idunno: I realize before I didn't name every good player for FC my point was that Monroe has several good weapons each of which can score when they touch the ball, and then I alluded to the fact if the defense plays solid that we may be able to slow Andrews down (FC’s leading scorer). And the fact does remain that of all the points scored for FC over 80% of that has come from 3 players...

Players for FC that have scored and can score again,

Antonio Andrews

Troy Turner

Tre Powell

Darian Crank

Chris Allen

Cyle Jay

Breeon Moreno

Darien Upshaw

Tim Nikolao

Luke Reynolds

Aaron Hills

Dakota Januchowski

Jeff Garner

Josh Baskin

I'm sure Monroe will enjoy the experience of playing on turf and playing on a college field, but has a KY playoff game ever been held in Tn?

I don't think that it has. I think that The Scribe might be better suited to answer this one......but I'm pretty sure that this will be the first KHSAA playoff game to ever be played in TN.

See you Friday.

I checked their (APSU's) field out on their website and it looks pretty nice and has seating for 10,000. Monroe travels well but 10,000 should be adequate...:clap:
