It is always good to go to Campbesllville for a good night of football. It seemed to me that they could be very competitive in their district with some very good size and speed. IMO they just need to work the kinks out at the QB position. Other than that they were very aggresive on both sides of the ball. Thank you to the staff and parents for always treating our kids to a good meal afterwords.

Monroe looked very explosive on offense. The ground games is very strong but the air attack really shocked me with Arnett aiming his lazer down the field with exact strikes for really great gaines. I guess he feels like he is still throwing a baseball because the ball flew with almost no drop and arch... Defense was our concern going into tonight, but I am very confident that come district time we will be tough. They already looked better than I could have ever expected. Once again when anyone plays us they will know when they leave because these boys know how to jar some heads. We heard major crashes all over the field on both sides of the ball.

I hope everyone had a really great night and was safe...I love this time of year!!!!!!

Monroe looked good on offense and defense looked better than I expected. Lookking forward to Friday night when Monroe can turn all the horses loose on both offense and defense. Also was pleased with the way JV played. Go Falcons.

A few of my observations,

Defense did look better than I expected, especially when the scrimmage went to real game simulation with down and distance markers.

Offense was everything I expected. once again scoring won't be a problem.

I love the wishbone, I would like to see a set with Chad, Dillion and Tanner in the backfield.

Also loved the use of the flats in the passing game.

Jackson's first two passes were suspect but after that he looked great in the pocket and made some really good throws and decisions.

I still worry about our defensive ends, I feel in our district the DE position may be the most important position on the defense, I think one end position is secure, the other may have to be filled by committee.

Can someone give a scouting report on Campbellsville? How many players did they have?

They have 25-26 players with some very good speed. Number 7 is the fastest on the team with lightning speed an the attitude to go with it. Got ejected for 4 plays along with one of our starters for unsportsmenship, even though the crackback was very clean and one heck of a shot, the knee afterwards wasn't. They have good secondary on defense but struggled at qb position. Good bunch of kids with a good coaching staff. The rb 42 is very big with good vision w/ speed. huge d line....
