Great win for the Ads tonight. Hopefully the momentum will continue.

Boyle 49 Christian County 33
BGP rules prevent me from commenting too much on the events that took place at the end of the game. Thankfully, Boyle's #8 overcame the upper cut punch and finished the game standing tall. My hat's off to you #8, you are one TOUGH kid. Boyle showed class at the end of the game when they were on CC's 1 yard line and opted to take a knee. CC is incredibly fast and has a very dangerous offense. They have a chance to go deep into the playoffs. BC's first half defense did an awesome job of containing their speed. However, in the 2nd half, defense decided to bow out and both teams scored at will. Now the real season begins.

Sounds like an exciting game. Congrats to the Tigers.

Good win for the Ads in what appears to have been a shootout.

Boyle County 28 East Jessamine 13
Boyle proved to be a team of substance tonight. Good win, but I still don't think they're at Bell County's level yet and may not get there as I originally had hoped. EJ was impressive also. They're #1 is an incredible athlete.

Just watched the video. Classless in every way. But, I still have to give congrats to Jude.

Boyle County 45 West Jessamine 6
Even though it didn't have an effect on the outcome of the game, there were some INCREDIBLY horrible calls by the officials tonight.

In the prediction thread, K52 explained that his roomie had hijacked his computer and was the one who had posted all the "smack" talk. Actually, now that we know the truth, I must tip my hat to the roomie for his success in messing with everyone so successfully.

When Will Highlands Lose in 4-A??
Egggzzellent point Rebel!!! Thankfully we'll have Highlands back amongst our ranks to give 4A a little respect (wow, it was hard to type that before bursting into laughter). Hey, I have a better idea. Highlands should rotate to a different class every year so that THAT class in which they are participating will be given respect for that year. Next year, they can play in 3A, so that 3A will finally get some respect. And so on, and so forth.....

Boyle County/Lexington Catholic predictions
Wow. One of the most baseless posts ever to grace the halls of BGP. Dawson is an outstanding student/athlete in every sense of the word; a very personable 4.0 gpa student with the physical ability to play at any division 1 school in the country. But hey, maybe Florida, USC, Oregon, Notre Dame, etc. etc are wrong. In fact, maybe you are right. Heck, you played high school football afterall.......................

My prediction: Jim will have some awesome barbeque before the game. Sadly, I won't be able to experience it.

When Will Highlands Lose in 4-A??
The lack of respect for other 4A teams is sad. Sad that so many classy Highlands fans are overshadowed by the hyperbolic rantings of the few who just want to spew garbage. I'll say this: Highlands, welcome to a competitive class of football. I'ts the the first one you've seen in a few years.:sssh:

Is the Danville/Boyle County game what it use to be?
In a word, no. Several years ago, Danville could compete with teams in any class and be expected to have a chance to win(and usually did) against the larger schools. This simply isn't the case any more. For whatever reason, they just don't have the athletes they used to have. the Admiral meltdown in the 4th quarter of the 2006 2A final seemed to mark the beginning of the demise of the program imo.

Boyle County 28 Danville 7
I thought both teams' defenses played well tonight. And on the other hand, both offenses had several sloppy moments. Boyle is definitely not the "machine" this year that they were last year at this point in the season. There were several errant passes with wide-open receivers, poor exchanges between the qb and the rb's, and missed blocking assignments in the line play. Boyle's offensive line has a LOT of work to do if they expect to go deep into the playoffs this year. Danville will run the table in their district without a doubt imo and by the end of the season I think they will be in good shape despite losses the past three weeks.

Somerset 38 Danville 13
Somerset was very solid tonight. Their QB is very impressive and has a very good arm. Also, they have a very good swarming defense that basically shut down the Ads all night. It's shocking to see how far the Ads have fallen over the past four years. Tonight was one of the most undisciplined, fundamentally unsound performances I've seen in quite some time from any team. Observations: 1. Dropped passes 2. Broken plays where the qb turned one way and the rb the other 3. Blown coverages in the secondary 4. Fielding a punt over the shoulder on their own 2 yard-line. 5. Zero blocking 6. 6 or 7 fumbles (I finally lost count). 7. Numerous personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties 8. Penalty called when a Danville player removed his helmet on the field 9. On one occasion where Danville punted, the ball was bouncing toward Somerset's end. Instead of shadowing the ball until it came to a stop, the Danville player just turned away as the ball was still moving, thus allowing the Somerset player to field the ball and advance it a bit. The one bright spot is that other than a few blown coverages in the secondary, the defense actually played well. But, it's hard to stop a good team when you fumble time after time giving them a short field with which to score. Even without the sloppiness on Danville's part, Somerset was still the superior team and they should go far this year.

Danville/ Somerset Updates
Somerset was the far superior team. AA and I had to leave during the 4th quarter due to frustration.:irked:
