I was goofing around this afternoon (fall break for teachers is awesome!) and made out what a four-class alignment would look like. I figured we debate the glory days of four class football on BGP all the time so now we've got something to work with. What do you think?

I would help reduce some of the watered down districts and the terrible teams making the playoffs because there are only 4 teams in the district!!! But it is about the money not whats best for the sport throughout the state!!!

You have to have X and Trinity on opposite sides of the Bracket, the Khsaa is making a huge mistake for not doing so because they would be making a great deal of money on this game...sloppy decision making to decide to let a public school win 6A because newsflash, it will never happen...

Thanks for putting all that together gchs! I think it makes a great argument that 5 classes is truly the best number. If this were the breakdown though, I am sure AAAA districts 3 and 5 would be flipped. No way you can have the Oldhams and Anderson in the west and all those Louisville schools in the east.

When I was in Georgia, we had a 10 team district. You scheduled one non district game and the rest counted. It worked out great for us and scheduling was a breeze!

Scheduling is easier with larger districts.

 

I'm glad you did put T and X in opposite brackets. Keeps me from having to read five pages in this thread.
