Just finished watching "Survive and Adavance" chronicling the 83 NC State run to the NCAA championship. It included a very moving tribute to Jim Valvano. Also, including the ACC and NCAA tournaments that year, NC State trailed in 7 of 9 games in the final minute only to wind up winning them all. This one is a must see.

My favorite threads tend to be threads about music AND include those in which Jim Schue doesn't make an appearance to disparage my opinions. I have always found it perfectly fine for me to disparage others, but when Jim gets on his "negative rant" high-horse about something I like, I feel all dirty and stuff.

Met Tom Petty and all the Heartbreakers in 2001 after their show at Rupp. I had gotten backstage passes from a client. Considering the fact that they have been my favorite band for decades, that was quite a thrill. They were all very "down to earth" and the conversation was very enjoyable.

Open Water gets high marks for suspense. For straight up fright, a few come to mind: Rosemary's Baby, Carrie, The Omen, The Exorcist, Audrey Rose.

Have the Galaxy S5. Best phone I've ever had. The camera in this phone is quite amazing. Both my kids are getting droids and giving up their I-phones with their next upgrades.
