In a rematch of the 2007 title game, Central and Belfry face off in the 3A Championship game once again.

 

Central is a deceiving 8-6 after having played the toughest schedule in Class 3A by far. Their losses all coming to top level 6A competition. They have been winning with ease since, and have cruised fairly easy through their playoff games.

 

Belfry is 10-4, after struggling early and taking a huge loss the last game of the regular season to Johnson Central. They are a young team who has improved dramatically from week 0 to now. The pirates have been plaing their best ball in the playoffs, but have received a few breaks along the way. They knocked off #1 Somerset 28-23 to earn a trip to the finals.

 

Who will win this game and why?

Too much speed. Central by 14.

Does Belfry still run the wishbone on most plays?

No, they run more of a double wing with a fullback than anything. They still run a lot of the same stuff as they ran from the wishbone, but they are not as much of a power football team as in years past.

I will take Ali's Alma Matter by 10......They float like butterflies and sting like bees....

Don't know much about Belfry, but I would think Central would be too fast for them. Give me the 'Jackets by 18.

Turnovers. Belfry has to take care of the football, turnovers have hurt them in the past. Also, eliminating the big play.

Central tends to turn it over too and have multiple penalties. This will be the key for both teams.
