Who wins and why?

I will get this going.

I know absolutely nothing about Allen County-Scottsville except for that they have Barren River Lake and they are neighbors to Warren County so I would expect that they will pack the house next Friday night.

I will wait for the official 'Hatz Statz' post before I post my prediction score but I will say that Boyle County will get title number 7.

I'll be in the house in my black coveralls. Who else is coming?

Wouldn't miss it for anything. Actually, I'm hoping to get to BG early enough to see Mayfield play.

I'll be there Purple. I think you talked to my brother at the game tonight, I stayed in the stands at halftime. Anyway, if ACS is a run oriented team, I say the Rebels will definately be favored to bring home #7. By the way, wasn't tonights ride home ALOT better than in '08?

I smiled and sang songs from my satellite radio ALL THE WAY home!!!!!!!:dancingpa:D

Was your brother in the bathroom line with a Boyle Alumni sweater on tonight? He was in front of me in the bathroom line and was there when I met SEBell.

They are run oriented for sure, they have two players over 1300 yards and their QB has over 800 rushing. All three average 9yds/attempt.

He had beige coveralls on, he said he knew you (if we were talking about the same person) he heard you and another guy talking and you introduced yourself as purplepride from the website. Do you have a young'n playing school ball? (lil' J) maybe?

Thanks NEERFAN, looks like it's going to be a defensive battle.

Yes. I remember your brother. He asked if I was from Bell County and I couldn't strip my coveralls off fast enough to show him my Boyle Rebels sweatshirt.

Yes. Baby J is his nickname. He is playing for Burgin's middle school team. My youngest son's mom lives in Burgin and he lives with her so he attends Burgin but loves Boyle County and wants to be a Rebel but it's probably not going to happen unfortunately.:irked::taz::idunno:

I work in Burgin. Too bad "Baby J" won't be wearing black and gold.

I feel the same way. I have my fingers crossed but I don't have much hope but you never know. She may let him come live with me one day. He is the ball boy for the Rebel basketball team.

Here's a start on Stats Comparision.

Schedules

Boyle County has played 9 winning teams in the regular season and defeated all of them. In the post season Boyle has defeated 3 winning teams.

Allen County-Scottsville has played and defeated 4 winning teams during the regular season. In their post season run they have defeated three winning teams.

In looking at how their opponents fared: Boyle defeated 4 opponents that won their Regional (Bell County, Corbin, Danville, Christian County)

ACS defeated no teams that won their Regional until Western this week.

Looking at QB's going into the semifinals:

BCHS: Devon Hale was 79-137-10 for 1278 yards and 16 TD's

ACS: Jacob Costello was 37-87-7 for 657 yards and 4 TD's

Looking at Top RB's going into semifinals

Devon Cox, 1429 yds on 144 carries, 17 TD's

Let's get the discussion going.

Hey Hatz.....what is the stat comparison between ACS-2010 and Lone Oak-2009. How do those two teams stats compare? Take all the time you need on that one but I am wondering the comparison.

Hey Hatz.....what is the stat comparison between ACS-2010 and Lone Oak-2009. How do those two teams stats compare? Take all the time you need on that one but I am wondering the comparison.

Here is what "Neerfan" posted last night about ACS' stats going into Semi-Finals:

Team Total Stats

(Year-to-date - Include all games played)

12 - 0 Record (wins - losses)

535 Points Scored

185 Points Allowed

4425 Total Rushing Yards

1213 Total Rushing Yards Allowed

756 Total Passing Yards

1846 Total Passing Yards Allowed

Here's how Lone Oak looked for season after the State Title Game in '09:

14 - 1 Record (wins - losses)

662 Points Scored

231 Points Allowed

2211 Total Rushing Yards

1724 Total Rushing Yards Allowed

3871 Total Passing Yards

1515 Total Passing Yards Allowed

As you can see these are two totally different teams. Lone Oak moved the ball "a lot more" by virtue of their passing attack and also put up more points.

ACS thought is powerful, powerful on the ground. Because they are so run oriented it shortens the game but they still have been very productive averaging 47.6 per game before last night and the #1 Team rushing in the entire state (376 yds per game).

Boyle is no slouch on the ground averaging 324 per game and 42.4 pts per game themselves.

Defense for both will be the key.

ACS gives up 100 yards rushing per game, While Boyle gives up an average of only 69 yards on the ground.

Boyle's defense has been challenged of late and gives up just over 14 per contest. ACS' defense gives up an average of 20 per.

Tired this morning. Hope that gave you something to "chew on" Purple while you have your coffee. :D

Looking forward to seeing you in Bowling Green on Friday. :thumb:

Boyle brings home number 7.
