Question - If Boyle County were to win the 4A championship and Christian County were to win the 5A championship, would Boyle County be declared the champion of both classes?

 

Even if Boyle wins and CC doesn't, BC still has an argument as the best outside 6A.

Boyle wins 35 - 21

Looking at the teams that Boyle has played and defeated if the Boyle schedule was ranked from 1-15 what ranking does Allen County-Scottsville have? Is there anyone with enough knowledge of all the teams Boyle has played to accurately rank them? I was wondering where ACS would fall in rankings compared to everyone else on Boyle's schedule.

I would put the Patriots as the third-best team Boyle will play this year, behind only Christian County and Bell County and just ahead of Johnson Central.

Boyle County is back.... for the next couple of years as well.

With a win Friday night Boyle could move past Male, Covington Catholic, and Fort Campbell in total State Championships ( 7 ) and move into a tie for 6th. with Mayfield or 7th. if Mayfield wins in overall Titles.

If a high school football fan fell into a coma in 1998 and woke up today, he would be pretty surprised to see Boyle County on that list. Wow, what a rise from mediocrity to an elite program.

Yes, it is. Ben is a great kid who has had a great career at Boyle County. It never matters who we are playing, when I see #76 on the field I am never worried. Seeing his actual size in the paper(6'0"-200) makes his accomplishments even more impressive. Determination, faith, and hard work can obviously propel you on the offensive line but in life as well. He is a special kid and I wish him well in Friday and in life also. I'll always remember seeing Ben mentoring a young lineman on Facebook after the freshman team lost a tough game to Lincoln County. That speaks volumes of his character and even when he is gone next year I guarantee that the words he told that young lineman that day will still be motivating that young lineman to succeed in the future. That is the kind of leader I love to see on the football team.

 

He is also a Duke fan like myself so he will always have a special place in my heart as one of my favorite Rebels of All Time. We Dukies stick together.

I concur wholeheartedly. (though I really feel that most who were paying attention saw the rise of the Rebel program take place around '96 when they made the state semi-finals and lost a heartbreaker to evenutal champ Breathitt)

 

You and I both saw how far down the program went in the 80's and early 90's. :thumb:

It has been 3 or 4 years since I made a trip to the Finals. It was easy in Louisville....3:45 drive from my house or 45 minute flight to SDF and shuttle bus ride to Executive West and then to game. I like Bowling Green but not really interested in driving that far.
