This game went about as expected. Boyle displayed a good balance on offense and a dominating smothering defense. We need to continue getting better every week. Great win.

Lex Cath scores on first and last possesions. But Boyle scores 42 inbetween to "run over" Knights. Sounds like Rebels hit them hard and just played smash mouth vs. them.

They did a little of everything in the first half. More run than pass of course but I think Hale ended up with 2 td passes and he ran one in also.

Rebel called and I think he said Boyle had well over 500 yards offense and held Lex Cath to 167 yards. (that last drive vs. the 2nd team accounted for about 1/4 or more of those yards.) :thumb:

To their credit they are playing a lot of young talent who are sophomores and this is their first taste of tough varsity action. I look for them to improve next year and beyond. :thumb:

That sounds good. They use to be a dominate force.

I expect them to be very good over the next two years.

Just got back from the game and Boyle dominated all facets of the game. Lex Cath is playing a lot of young players from what I gathered from their program. Boyle QB is better than I expected, very mobile and pretty accurate. Boyle defense as good as advertised. I hope Boyle and Bell is a rematch this year.
