Stephenson got roughed up tonight and only lasted 3 innings.

Not the same situation. Iglesias wasn't a starter in Cuba. The Reds tried to convert him into a starting pitcher & it didn't work well. Chapman was a starter in Cuba and spent at least 2 years in the Reds' system as a starting pitcher.

I found this season to be frustrating due to the lack of progress by most of the young pitching; however, the last 4+ weeks have restored some of my optimism moving forward.

It's unreal to think about the Reds offensive production this season. Some very strong individual performances this year.

I agree that neither is an ideal fit for CF, and neither one may be the long-term answer but at this point getting them regular AB's (especially Winker) is more important than their defense. Choo was not an ideal CF either, but the Reds made it work. Schebler could do it for the next 30 days.

So what do you recommend?

Leake has really struggled lately in STL.

Yup, I think Billy is the odd man out. Move Schebler or Winker to CF and let Billy come off the bench. He could be a great asset as a pinch runner & defensive replacement late in games (assuming the Reds get to play meaningful baseball at some point in the future).
