I haven't heard that -- there were some rumors swirling yesterday that Stephen Strasburg requested not to start but haven't heard anything to that effect regarding Gio.

I would've started Gio & used Scherzer out of the pen. But if Max prefers to start, it'd be hard to turn him down.

He'll be a FA this season. I think he might retire.

I have to believe this was an act of gamesmanship by the Nationals as opposed to complete dysfunction on all levels. Maybe not.

I watched about 5 minutes on SEC Network. I don't think Brad Calipari missed a shot during that time.

I agree that Lorenzen likely won't be a starter. I think Finnegan will be stretched out as a starter but I think he gets relegated to the bullpen as well at some point. I do believe Garrett projects well as a starter and remains in the rotation (either MLB or AAA).

Love baseball & especially love playoff baseball in October. I didn't get to watch last night's game but I am excited about the 2017 playoffs. I typically cheer against the Yankees but the Cleveland / New York matchup intrigues me. I'd like to see Cleveland v. Boston in the ALCS and Washington v. Arizona in the NLCS. And Cleveland v. Washington in the WS. The thought of Kluber v. Scherzer excites me.

Assuming the coaching vacancy is open, Louisville is in a really tough spot right now. Basketball practices starts in less than three (3) weeks, they're already having issues from the previous scandal and another major scandal is underway. Previously, I assumed that Chris Mack was destined for Louisville but at this point, I don't know how any high profile coach could leave the stability of his own program to pursue the Louisville job.

They'll probably give the death penalty to Thomas More & several other D3 programs.

I'm surprised by the number of sarcastic comments calling people "cool" for vaping. Do you think smokers are trying to be "cool" by lighting up? Like RJS mentioned, vaping is mostly odor free and certainly doesn't stick to your clothes like cigarette (or cigar) smoke. You can do it indoors at many places (although the number of places prohibiting it is increasing). As it pertains to health benefits -- it's obviously not good for you, and I'm sure long-term use will have detrimental effects, but it has to be healthier than inhaling the smoke and known carcinogens in cigarettes, right?
