This is a very good assessment imo! -
Mayfield 16 Paducah Tilghman 14

We could also look at the fact PT had a total of 2 drives in the first 1.5 quarters of second half and had no first downs, multiple incomplete passes and only used 45 seconds. Time of possession for Mayfield after halftime and questionable PT play calling won the Birds the game...... again. PT is still very young and will get better. Mayfield coaches made halftime adjustments (as they normally do). -

Open Job: Graves County

Graves gets a ton of coverage from local sports radio host that also does Eagles radio. Outside of his hype they are basically a solid region team, haven't been the favorites in a really long time but they are usually a tough out on game night. -
Mccracken has the resources and the talent in their district to be a top 10 6A school on a consistent basis and possibly a top 4-6 range team every couple of years. BTW that is exactly the same outlook for new Hoptown school whenever they open. Nothing more or less. I think Smith will go with what he is comfortable with. Probably learned quickly at PT that letting others influence your decisions could be costly.

A topic for another day.... is there any job in west ky- in any sport that would actually get a person to relocate from outside the market?

Whatever the hoops might be/have been.... they were/are always gonna jump them for Morris. Truth is most of the rumors about possible coaches are coming from people inside the program that (kind of) want to see some things change-- but they all know at the end of the day it is Morris job as long as he wants to be there and honestly he has earned that!

Open Job: McCracken County

Given the people running things at McCracken I would look for a quick and easy hire. Long coaching searches take time and research which is not the way they operate. That being said they have a couple guys on staff that are really strong candidates.
