Hopkinsville 30 Paducah Tilghman 26

As referenced by @BigBlue92, PT had 4 defensive starters out, but that wasn't the biggest problem for PT tonight.

Jack James had one of those games and those turnovers turned into plenty of points for the Tigers to come away victorious. Interceptions in crucial positions. PT had been doing so well running the ball, but I guess the good fortune was too much to handle.

4-6 for the 2nd year in a row and a game similar to how Hopkinsville won last season.

4-6 seasons have been good to PT in a few memorable seasons, but it won't be this year unless they get back to doing what they do best.

Hopkinsville was the underdog last year and in this game and just proved again that they have Big Blue's number.

Honestly wish they would stick to to keeping Ryder and White in the back field,it’s almost unstoppable. Then switch it up a little with White as a slot receiver,he had more receving yards then any of Tilghman’s other receivers.

100% agree.

4 starters out for most teams would be tough to overcome, I guess it would depend which starters.

I think PT is in trouble this just doesn’t seem like the same 4-6 team as last year. They better lace them up if they expect to get past Taylor. I think a healthy Taylor is just as good if not better than Hop town so I think they will have their hands full.

I'll double down; When PT lines up, runs behind the beef, and plays smash mouth football; they are one of the best teams in 4A.  When they want to spread it out and throw it all around, they become average.

I know a outside backer, inside backer and a defensive end is out. Idk the the fourth player but either way next man up and I honestly don’t think they would have made that big of a difference. But do I think you should be the head coach, you have way more football smarts. I just don’t understand the play calling with the backs having success, why does he force the pass? Is it because he was a former receiver? Is he trying to get the Qb stats up? He needs to take accountability on these losses it’s not all on the kids. I think we may have hired the wrong Crittenden county coach, seems the defensive coordinator is doing pretty well for himself.

Yeah they are in trouble.  Lets face it Tilghman is just not a very good football team.

Taylor county has a real good chance of knocking them out of the first round.  I know Tilghman turned it around last year, but this team can't complete passes.  The graduation of Marshall, and Thomas is showing to be huge, because they basically returned everyone, but them.  Also Tilghmans title game appearance with a young team fooled us into thinking they are fixin to be a force, but lets be honest 3a was extremely weak last year.

Coach Thompson is a good Coach.  Tilghman has had some other coaches before him in the last 12 years I would consider good coaches.  It ain't been a lack of a good head coach that is the problem.  Not hard to figure out what the problem is.

Paducah had 75 players with none going both ways to Hopkinsville 34-35 players with quite a few going both ways. Looked to me like the Tigers wanted it more than PT last night.

PT has talent and they have some very good coaches but something seems off. If PT runs the ball 55 times last night they win the game. Hopkinsville couldn’t stop them when they did that but they kept playing with fire by throwing the ball and it bit them.

I still think PT has a run ahead of them because nobody they play is going to have a kid like Mercer from Hoptown to dominate the game on both sides of the ball. Especially early on in the first few rounds.

This is a very good assessment imo!
