I am not expert here. However I will say that most consolidations start great. New facilities, great plans, tons of resources. Then things level off over time. The biggest misktake McCracken made was when the previous coach consolidated the middle school teams. That is not Clark fault, was the guy before him. The first 2-3 years they dressed 100 middle school kids. Now (only 5yrs later) it might be half that. -

He may very well be all of those things. What I have seen is a program that has fewer players each year. Has lost several coaches and supporters the past few years and has fallen to #3 in the district. -

The PT transfer excuse is way over used. A lot of the kids involved were Paducah kids in the first place. They transferred to LO Middle for 1 season then transferred back. -

I don't know... Marshall is pretty happy to pound local teams in women bball and golf. -

I agree 100%.... and I was not in the "class of 3A" camp.. it would be nice to see them at that point but that is a long way away for them. -

I all fairness to Mayfield we in WKY do consider Ft Campbell to be the Ft Thomas Highlands of our area. Very good a decade or so ago but a bit down in recent memory. -

South Warren might be my new favorite Bowling Green area team! When is the county championship? -

I think Daviess left some points on the field. Need to button up that offense. -

At this point I think I will stop picking Hopkinsville to win every week. Seems like a good group but they haven't made me look very smart. -

You know the Blue Tornado better than anyone and I did not see the Graves or Mayfield games BUT I did watch the McCracken game. I did not see anything special about the PT offense attack. A lot of speed and talent (PT always has that) and a very underwhelming Mustang secondary led to a misleading passing barrage imo... I am sure 2 weeks off did not help but I am certainly not sold on PT claim to having a high powered passing attack. They definitely have a lot of young talent so the future does look bright. -
