I would love to see a 6A powerhouse in WKY. I had hopes that would be McCracken 8 years ago. Instead they have reduced the size of that program to a level less than 4A Lone Oak was before consolidation. I think doing the "not so popular" nationwide search would be good in this case. Get some new ideas, new staff, new energy to match the new resources.

Male 35- 10. This is '21 so that favors Male to win state this year ('15,'18......'21??).

Lex Cath vs Cov Cath is interesting and so is Franklin Co vs Corbin.

I would think this job would go to someone that is actively leading a program of similar size and scope. Clarke and Rogers have had success at times but this would seem like a reach for either of them imo.

Give me St Rita 21-17 and hopes of a public school state champion in KY will begin to look like a possibility.

PT will honor Allan Cox at the game. Well deserved! Since Cox left in 1993 PTHS has had 9 head coaches in 28 years. Mayfield has had 2. Consistency is the story for the last 2 decades. I think PT will start their own streak beginning next year if all the stories are true about the younger grades. For now i think the Cards get the win on Friday.

I like Graves 21-McCracken 10. Graves seems to start well. I think they jump out to 14-0 lead.

It is possible for a Tilghman run. But I am not sure how well west ky stacks up against the rest of the state this year. Time will tell for all of the local teams.

Sounds like McCracken game and PT-Graves have some people questioning the refs. If it is anything like basketball this past spring and summer they are working new faces into crews and are still a little short handed. Hopefully it all gets worked out. It's great to have football on Fridays in August again!

I don't have a kid in the system but I do think it is very telling that a 6A school dressed maybe 60 kids last week in such a big local game. I watched a couple games in that series in 2016 and 2017 and I believe the Mustangs had over 100+ players in that program. Did not work well against PT and will certainly not help against BG tonight.

I expect the Cardinals to win 42-21. Hopefully a little more focus and control in the early quarters this week. This will set up a PT vs Mayfield game with both teams undefeated. Won't that be nice.

Big win for the Purples tonight. 48 to 14 or something along those lines. Losing a key returning player is big for McCracken but at some point there needs to be a discussion about the state of the Mustang program. Numbers appear to be on the decline from just a few years ago among other things.
