Graves County 41 Paducah Tilghman 34

Featured Replies

What a game!

Graves started out on fire with a 27-7 lead early in the second quarter and Tilghman then reeled off 27 straight to take a td lead before Graves put together 2 td drives late in the 4th to end it.

A very, very sloppy game with big plays mixed in all over. Tilghman's special teams were pretty bad yet again and this game had field position like you don't see often due to a multitude of onside kicks.

Tilghman's penalty yardage has to be significant in this one.

Both teams have potential moving forward but have a whole lot to clean up to get there.

I'm still encouraged by PT, a young team that had shown a ton of promise, this year may not be the one where it really shows up, but it will may dividends down the line for the Blue Tornado.

They showed a lot of resilience considering most of them are very young. They played with their back agaisnt the wall all game and held their composure when past teams probably wouldn't have. The future looks good but this one hurts.

Every loss hurts, especially after making a great comeback to take the lead, the schedule does not get any easier but with the way 3A looks Tilghman has a great opportunity to make a deep playoff run.

It is possible for a Tilghman run. But I am not sure how well west ky stacks up against the rest of the state this year. Time will tell for all of the local teams.

I agree. This game film is a great learning tool. Coming out so flat after all the emotion last week was definitely a factor in the beginning.

With the schedule, we'll take some bumps along the way for sure, but like you said, come playoff time, I do believe it will be a big help to draw from these games.

Tilghman plays their first home game next week against Mayfield and will try somehow to stop the unreal streak the Cardinals have against them.

Graves will host McCracken and try to put a back to back together after dropping the first game to Mayfield.

Some big games.

I really thought we were going to walk away with it, but credit to PT for fighting back. Graves living off big plays is so hard for me to get use to. Explosive and Graves are two words you don’t hear together, but this year that is the case.

PT I think matches up better against Mayfield than we did.

Number 7 for PT is very very good! Enjoyed watching him play. Not looking forward to playing him the next few years.

#7, Malachi Rider, is small in stature but the kid flat runs hard and has decent speed as well. He's kind of a smaller version of McKee for you guys, who just absolutely dominated.

I'm not surprised he had roughly 160 on the ground at all, but he just did what he wanted in the passing game as well. He ran those routes into the flat time after time and was only covered a couple times the whole game, including the game winner when no one was near him. I'm still scratching my head on that one with who we have calling the defense.

This game reminded me of the 2016 when Graves won 43-42 with all the wacky plays. These games are definitely a thrill to watch.
