  1. If the Knights defense can not play tremendously better than they did in the 2 games last year the result will be very similar to last years games. Good chance of a running clock.
  2. Officiating made this game closer than it should have been. Ravens got hosed on more than one occasion.
  3. Kentucky Wesleyan played what I think was there best football of the year. They moved the ball well on the ground and with the passing game. The special teams were much improved and the defense played well enough to keep them in the game. 3 turnovers were there undoing against a very polished Findlay squad.
  4. It is not just the 0 - 4 start but the teams they lost too. Seattle is mediocre at best. The 49ers are about the same. Buffalo is the best team they have played and they will be lucky to make the playoffs and the Steelers are stinkin it up just slightly less than the Bengals.
  5. The Panthers spotted Lake Erie 21 points in the first 10 minutes before the offense started clicking and finally tied the game up at 42 in the 4th quarter. A late touchdown with just over 30 seconds left sealed the Storms first victory of the season. The Panthers, now 0 - 4 are faced with the real possibility of going 0 - 10 for the 2019 season. Their next four games are against Findlay, Tiffen, Ohio Dominican and Hillsdale, all of which are much more established programs. The best the Panthers can hope for is to get out of this stretch with the desire to play the last two games.
  6. Mercer should be able to run the ball with moderate success and win the time of possession battle. Their team speed on defense is going to keep CAL from running the ball and make them one dimensional. If the Titans can limit the big pass plays I like there chances. I think its a 50/50 game.

  8. Fake punt turns into a TD for Southwest and that was the difference.
  9. What can coach Clevinger and his staff do to salvage anything positive out of this season?
  10. Hope the Admirals can salvage something out of this season.
  11. My son thinks that he changed his mind and went somewhere else.
  12. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about the Panthers future opponents. They have not played Southwest Baptist since 2010 if my info is correct. Just looking at the past history and this seasons box scores I think KWC will be the underdog again this week. This Panther team is very young and relies heavily on freshman players on both sides of the ball so real time game experience will be their best learning tool. With that being said I think a win in the first half of the season would surprise me. However they did show big improvement on offense from week 1 to week 2 before the turnover bug hit them big in the second half last week. If they can continue to find confidence and consistency on offense maybe a win against Lake Erie would not be out of the question. Beyond that the wins this season may be hard to achieve but with the energy and enthusiasm that coach Yeast and his staff have brought with them this group could surprise a team or two in the second half of the season. From talking to my son, who is a freshman defensive lineman for the Panthers this year they understand they have a tall mountain to climb but they look forward to climbing it! After the Lake Erie game they play 5 teams that the Panthers are a combined 0 - 10 against but I think there could be a win in there somewhere if they continue to improve. Overall a 3 win season would be a decent foundation to start to build on, 4 wins would be an unexpected surprise, anything beyond that and they would have to rename the stadium!
  13. Another decent effort for the Panthers but sputtering offense cost them big in the second half.
  14. Boyle was hitting on all cylinders in the first half and did pretty much anything they wanted on offense. But Mercer was able to expose some chinks in the armor on 3 time consuming drives that did not produce any points but had to give the Titans some positive points to highlight in film this week.
  15. I was at the Concordia - Kentucky Wesleyan game and was surprised that Concordia was ranked that high. Both teams struggled mightily on offense and have got a lot of work to do on that side of ball. Hard to tell if the defense for both teams was that good or just the lack of production from the offense that made them look good. I will give the Panthers defense credit for playing as well as they did, especially in the first half as they were on the field about 90% of the half.
  16. Mercers win over Anderson Co goes along way in solidifying there spot in the top 10.
  17. Great crowd support for both teams tonight. Props to the Danville crowd for staying and supporting their young men. The Rebels will be a very hard out for the rest of the season if they can stay healthy.
  18. Maybe the players lost to Great Crossing will have a bigger impact than last week indicated.
  19. Boyle County's D-end Aaron Hatter signed with Kentucky Wesleyan
